yeah when i posted that i nearly edited well not for any other reason but taste, but decided against it.

sooty stupid question gets stupid responces. Especially with the implied smugness behind it.

I'm gonna cook it for teeps though when she gets her teefs fixed.

Yeah the question kinda prompted the responses eh.

I eat meat, but I hardly ever eat lamb. Not keen on it (too fatty).
I was like that for years, but went to someones for tea and it was lamb chops and I've not looked back. I'm still a bit fussy with it though, i like roast lamb, and chops. but hate it in curries and don't like left over lamb, it tastes dirty or something  :o

I don't mind it when it's really really really well done, cooked to within an inch. That's why I stick with mainly having it roasted if I'm going to do it.

I hate it in curries, but that's cos every single lamb curry I've ever had contained big chunky fatty bits of lamb, without it being softened

A curry house here does the most superb sweet lamb curries, topped with fearsome toasted chillies - better than anythinh I've tasted anywhere else. Its about the only place I'll order one. :)

I love meat but Lamb is usually my last choice.

I am not sure what it is about it I am not keen on.

I really don't like the smell of it roasting.

Can eat it happily in a stew, curry etc though.

Apologies for wet-farting on this thread. I wasn't myself yesterday and I conducted myself in a nonsensical and somewhat childish manner and I'm sure my IQ dipped well into the double digits. I'm not asking for forgiveness rather I'm stating that if I'm full of shit then I should either hold it in or put it in a toiletesque place where it belongs. Thanks

Get one of those fatty, tough (for lamb) shoulder cuts. Cost about £4 or £5. Cube it.

Fry some shallots (loads) and garlic (loads) for a couple of minutes, add the lamb. fry for 8 minutes medium (to get juices, not to crisp) and then add a mug (or 2) of any decent red wine.

Put a tight lid on the pot and simmer gently...2 and a half, 3 hours.

Serve with your favourite rice.

Chops...nice and pink, with a mint dressing.

Fillet...god you can have this nigh on raw.

I think the cute propaganda on this thread is disingenuous, lambs don't look like that when they go to slaughter:

^^ a Lamb long overdue for slaughter.

i will be shocked if there is anyone who eats meat that doesn't eat lamb.

Ha! I eat meat and hate lamb. Which is odd, because I used to like it, and have seriously gone off it in the last couple of years.

Exactly the same thing has happened with duck. I'll happily eat chicken, beef or pork.
