I adore lamb - it's my favourite meat of all. It's too expensive though, so I never buy it - only have it on my mum's occasionally.

I had a conversation with someone who turned out to be a vegetarian two days ago. I am not proud - I will talk to anyone. It seems that the reason he doesn't eat meat is that he can see a little lamb in his imagination and that puts him off. This thread is a strange coincidence.

I didn't say much in reply except to express surprise. However a girl in the group started out on a scientific objection to vegetarianism stating that it would lead to deficiencies because meat protein is essential for human well being and that vegetable protein sources are not adequate. She went on at length asserting scientific knowledge in this sphere! Later on she expressed a belief in horoscopes! She guessed my star sign after 6 attempts. Not a scientist at all then.

I do hope that vegetarians don't suffer from mineral, vitamin or whatever deficiencies. There are lots of them around and they usually look healthy to me. Yes I eat lamb, and very tasty it is too. But good luck to all vegetarians anyway.

How the fuck doesn't it? You're not equal to it are you?

You know, you can treat an animal with care, and give a shit about its welfare, and still want to eat it.

It's only not equal to me because it hasn't yet worked out how to farm, kill and eat humans

And that's only if it wanted to eat humans. It might not.

Fucking forget about it. An unashamed yes or no would have done for my original question but since you would rather bully me then do it with me ignoring you.

I eat meat, but I hardly ever eat lamb. Not keen on it (too fatty).

yeah when i posted that i nearly edited well not for any other reason but taste, but decided against it.

sooty stupid question gets stupid responces. Especially with the implied smugness behind it.

It's not ime

My best mate's a veggie and...;)

Nah, to be serious, I have a lot of veggie mates, and they all have their different reasons, but they don't just adopt a sneery Rik attitude and then play the victim

Aye, I was joking. The sneeryness of Snottysoots... it needs a pasting tbh :)

I miss all those ARnumbers lunatics we had posting here for a while. They were great fun. All you needed to do was say, 'Right, it's lunchtime and I'm off for a bacon sarnie,' and they launched into tirades of incoherent abuse.
