she did a fucking mint stripped down version of bulletproof at glastonbury for the bbc acoustic thing. she's got a pretty amazing voice
Yep, liked it too. Dodgy barnet, though. I was getting that performance confused wiht the black girl mentioning Brixton in her song.

And then there's what's her name from Camberwell and JAGS . . . that Florence with the machine.

similar to this she did for radio 1 live lounge

i think she's great.

I'll listen to that later. Yeah, there's just something about her voice...it has balls.....it's ballsiness.....I dunno, she just seems tough and cool.

I'd be wary of condemning any teenager for anything they say in interviews tbh. Christ, I'd have had to flee the country if any of the stuff I used to go about saying had got printed - I was a right mealy mouthed fuck who thought I knew everything about everything and had incredible insights to share. That's "was".

They're from the Amy Warehouse.

I'm sticking with this one.

she's cool as fuck, talented, and seems like a pretty nice person.

she has everything lady gaga for example lacks. namely talent, class and dignity.

la roux =

I dunno.......she's cold and stand offish and I'm not that cool. If I met her, I'd stammer, I reckon and then probably spill a drink down myself or something like that - slip over on a dog shit or something.

I just heard what she said about RnB and, to be fair, a lot of chart RnB is gash, so I can't really see the problem there.

My housemate said I looked like La Roux last night, only cos my fringe was sticking up, but I used it as an excuse to sing that aaaaaaaaaaa oooooooooooooo bit again.

I just love singing it.

So much.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ooooooooooooooooooooooo

Oh god I want to sing it now.

Not being funny, love, but you don't look like La Roux, love. LOVE!

You love that Danny Dyer shit, love. He's basically built a career from talking like that and you lap it up.

1. tunes are ok

2. I'm down with the RnB dissing, not down with the misgyny

3. I'd hit....you know how that line ends

4. Electrogrill has it spot on. If you looked up 6music in the dictionary, her picture would be the entry

I said ONLY COS MY FRINGE WAS STICKING UP. I know Danny Dyer is a wideboy but I reckon he can read. At least a bit anyway.

"bulletproof" by pop will eat itself is MUCH better.

On the other hand you can wait a LONG time to hear something new that's better than PWEI. They were pretty amazing. I wouldn't class La Roux as anywhere near that league. That still leaves plenty of room for not being crap.

Crap is down there with Lady Gaga. Utter crap doesn't come along that often either, and is down there with Chris De Burgh.

Pardon, youre saying dubstep wouldnt exist without R&B? Please do go on.

Yes. Yes I am.

I don't know how to do a family tree without fucking it up, but try this on for size.

R&B -> garage -> grime -> dubstep

But you're probably going to disagree with that so BAM what about this baby

disco -> house -> us garage -> garage etc., and you know full well disco is heavily influenced by R&B.

You can't escape it, La Roux would be getting bullied in Herne Hill were it not for R&B.

no shit except she isn't referencing any of that just the modern shit incarnation of r&b. Im sure she didnt mean motown.

I can almost guarantee that regardless of who mixes her snotty posh voice absolutely nobody will be listening to this in one years time.

And she is pig ugly
