La Grande Boucle - Tour de France 2016

Good finish..another first time yellow jersey wearer! (hope that's not a big spoiler for those watching highlights later)

Porte nearly 2 minutes down. Easily made up in the hills. Sorry for Stuvyen; so close yet so far. The bloody time checks did not help, they showed he had a minute + with 500 to go

They were showing the gap to the yellow Jersey group for some reason.

Nearly won fiver but the gimp pipped my selection to the line.

My phone froze so I saved money but was close with my £1 on DM at 22/1 which I pt n earlier in the day. What a Top Four!

It was a really well designed stage finish. Perfectly balanced between the best climbers of the sprinters and the best Ardennes riders.

If Daniel or Tony Martin win you are sorted for a middle name too.
What if Gorka Izaguirre decides to go on a breakaway?

Even closer than yesterday :)
For some reason the bookies drifted Kittel out from the 6/4 yesterday all the way to 10/1 so had some of that little gift.

Cos you got on him at 10s. Was pretty short priced joint fav when I was making my selections.

I almost forgot to bet today and logged in with 10km to go. Was thinking of doing an L-B-L type cos they were saying it might not necessarily be a pure sprinters finish BUT saw that price on Kittel and snapped it up with a token quid on Alaphillipe at 22/1.
I'm beginning to think Paddy Power are not quite as on it as usual this year. Who do you bet with? Am thinking of opening a Boylesport account too.

I'm sure a lot of you watch it on Eurosport, but ITV seemed to have ditched Liggett and Sherwen without much fanfare, replacing them with Boulting and Millar. Is there a back story to this that I've missed?

Much needed injection of new blood. As much as Phil and Paul remind me of watching as a kid, they were shit.

They still do the coverage for US telly, so I'm sure you can find a stream if you miss them...

Today reminds me that inplay is the way to go. I never bothered doing anything but at least I saved money by not doing the Etixx pair who i would have picked at the start of the day.

Anyway i feel for Contador - it's evident that Tinkoff is every man for himself this tour which is understandable I suppose.

I'm terrible at in-play betting. Plus I quite enjoy trying to figure out who is gonna get in the break.

Saw a comment on twitter from a tinkov rider saying the atmosphere is pretty toxic ATM.
