It also left pupils with an unrealistic idea of what the world owed them and the perception that they worked 'bloody hard' and deserved all the benefits while dismissing those that worked the hardest to either create their wealth for them or to keep the rest of society ticking by.

You converted your A*s to 9s? Nonsense. A*s convert to 8s and 9s. 9s are the top 3% or above of grades and there's no way you know if you were in the top 3% for your GCSE results.
