No, but they did construct some proto-type robo-beards for use on stage. They went AWOL krazy though and had to be shot by see-to-hair missiles.

That's it, I've lost it. I'm off to bed now. For schure, ja? :o :D

some reading material courtesy of J Cope Esq.

I've tried that a couple of times now, and it doesn't like me or something:

The file "Krautrocksampler.rar" (49.09 MB) is too big for your remaining free traffic of 6.4 MB. Your free traffic will be resetted 60 after your last download. Reset in 29 minutes. [1113]

I've got broadband, so what's the ficktin' problem??? :(

i think because you've tried a couple of times it's messed up yr quota..

leave it for an hour, meanwhile i'll try putting it somewhere else..

Yeah, I already have left it an hour though. -I'm just supposed to click on the 'Free' button? :o

Amon Duul II, Plastic People of the Universe, Acid Mothers Temple, Guru Guru, did you mention Faust?

All well worth a listen. Glenn Branca too.

Glenn Branca...GLENN BRANCA...krautrock???????

Glenn Branca is not nowhere near krautrock....his is the sound demons erupting from the deepest cracks and fissures, of worlds colliding, of the gods destroying and remaking the universe...

Glenn Branca is the sound of "sound as a reflection of its own logic" - or at least that's what he says on the sleevenotes of his Symphony No 3 LP (which I have on vinyl on Disques du Crépscule btw :p )

You heard John Cales 'sun blindness music' - i've always thought that Branca pretty much took his starting point from that record...2nd song esp. (But he couldn't as he wouldn't have heard it would he?)

I like some Glenn Branca. Have just dug out Lesson No 1 For Electric Guitar, and now the connection's been suggested, it does actually remind me of Neu!...

Well, I think I'm going to go and buy that Harmonia album today...

nah...I haven't heard it, not really up on Cale, I just know the Branca was responsible for one of the most incredible performances I have seen...really shook me to the core

Speaking of John Cale...

I've got the excellent Fear, and I used to have The Academy in Peril about 20 years ago. What else? Vintage Violence? Paris 1919?

The thing with him is that each album seems to be a contrary reaction to the last, so stylistically he's hard to get a handle on.

What's Church Of Anthrax like? Quite drone-y, I expect...

There seems to be so much praise for this album, that it's becoming difficult for me to ignore it! :)
sigh- but don't expect too much now, since high praise always ruins perfectly good albums because you now expect something of super-ultra-lifechanging proportions ( :( ) and that just won't happen but don't get me wrong,-
it's a beauty and a lovely album nevertheless...:)
