KP quits: Sky

I've worked it out.

First number is the one that Slater incorrectly got tattooed, then debut year, then the last number is age when first capped..

Gilchrist has old mans ears and so was in his 40s and Gillespie had old mans hair?

Am I right?!

your right alright,a sad reflection is that they could all get a game for england at the mo.Am i right????

Honestly?

Gilchrist would, but Gillespie was ruined by 2005, although I suspect that like any bowler at the other end from McGrath or Warne he took wickets because a batsman was forced to attack him because he couldn't attack the others. This is why Lee and the rest are now beig found out.

Losing Hayden is a blow for England not Australia as he is also gooooooooone.. of your team today, we would take Ponting, Clarke and no-one else thanks.. not out of jingoism, but because with the exception of probably Hussey, they're not better..

The plus is, the Ashes will hopefully be good again, although what we have really missed over the past 4 years is Simon Jones more than anything else. Him chucking the ball at Hayden won us the Ashes..

Bell or Collingwood (or Cook for that matter) ahead of Katich or Hussey?

I'd also take their keeper and Johnson - possibly the best bowler on either side.

I knocked Katich as he was blown away in 2005.. Johnson vs. Sidebottom seemed to even? Hussey has done nothing for a year..

I fucking hate watching Bell and Collingwood which is why I went Ponting, Michael Clarke (sp?) and maybe Hussey.. I don't think Strauss and Cook work together - 2 lefties, too similar in pace..

And we do need a keeper - Gilchrist would do us, but yes Haddin

tbh I'd have Collingwood over a great many Test batsmen today. Yes I am serious

Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch has said that three senior players did not perform as expected in the Sth African series;Hayden,Hussey and Lee.No shit:eek:Hayden is gone,Lee(injured)could well be gone and Hussey had a shocker of a year but he can redeem himself in the domestic side for mine.He will play test cricket again,no doubt.
I feel that Katich,Ponting,M Clarke,M Hussey,D Hussey,M Johnson,Stu Clark and A Symonds could walk into an english test side when half fit;)

Symonds?!

Ha ha ha!

That takes us right back to the start.. as if any team needs that sort of character in the changing room.. and let's face it, if KP is South African then he's a pom..

In any event, it would be Fred or Symonds.. and that has to be a no brainer surely?
