Knives

Well between a Zwilling and a Global I don't actually need any more knives, but Chinese style cleavers have caught my eye. And apparently because they are made of quite soft metal they take an edge really well and you don't have to spend much. Suspect that deliveries from Aliexpress won't be quick at the moment!

I've also almost worn out my Minosharp and the replacement wheels aren't cheap. Ordered a whetstone, may as well learn a new skill during lockdown.

Yeah, I'm after one too... Had a full tang perfectly serviceable example in China that cost around £15, but couldn't bring it back as they don't let you post them, or take them on public transport. Need to go deep on ali, or try using a 淘宝agent.

I ended up buying a couple and found one I really liked. It's a SHIBAZIZUO S210-2 from Aliexpress. Its a carbon steel blade and takes a really good edge. I find myself reaching for it before my much more expensive knives and I can destroy piles of onions in no time.

Cheers, yeah I've seen that brand mentioned elsewhere, will have a look.
