Good for you. Personally I always worry slightly about food cooked in a kitchen with a tray of shit in the corner and cats that walk on the worksurfaces. Must just be me then ;)

Ah, but I used to. Mine went to the loo outside and they knew they were banned from the worktops :p

Yes, you can soon train a cat out of jumping on worktops etc. A "flying lesson" or two usually does the trick! ;)

Never quite trust them about food tho but it is easy to cover/put things in the fridge or get them out before I start.

:)

Sensible. How would you feel about someone lobbing an ice cube at your cat btw?

Depends if it was intended to injure or just scare it off. I've chucked/squitred a variety of things at cats over the years in order to scare them off/stop them doing something. Never to injure them tho.

Why would anyone want to do that?
See post above about ice cube and neighbour incident.

To be fair, there was no serious intent to harm, it was just the nearest chuckable thing to interrupt a shitting cat.

my cat never went on the worktops or the sofa and would respond t obeing told it was bedtime by getting up and going into her cat basket :)

she also went outside for the loo:)

Pogofish... I wants them feral kitties!!!!

There was a colony just off Whitecross Street near work last year - I remember being very amused by a very ragged long-haired kitten hissing at me and trying to be all fierce, despite being extremely miniature!

It's like a Hallmark card gone all gritty and brutal-realist!

:D

The tabby is especially covetable.

Are they feral too, pogofish, or have you managed to socialise them?

They are indeed feral. Although their mother is probably the most socialised of our resident feral cats. She will occasionally let either myself or one other person stroke her:

She also let me stroke the wee black kitten this morning. Aww! :D

No. The Mother is called Smooch but we have not named the kittens - Don't want to get too attached if the trust are taking them away next week.

Here are two more of the Tabby yesterday:

I want this one!

I saw an item on the BBC news yesterday that said there's a kitten glut at the moment.....so it looks like everyone should adopt a couple pronto to ease the strain :)
