Yeah very runny! Not sure how I'm going to get it to the vet, Mr. Thora is working tonight and I'm working tomorrow and am stuck in with the kids. I guess it will have to wait til Saturday. It's going to be basically on it's own in the day tomorrow though as Mr. Thora will be sleeping.

Yes bum warfare could be an issue. Is the person who has taken the other one to the vet able to cat sit it or take it? Vet places are open surprisingly late in my experience.

I don't know the other person at all, they drove past after I'd caught the first one and collected the other one. A neighbour told me they'd taken it to the vet.

Stuck in a room with food, water and 2 inches of newspaper isn't such a bad option for one so young but it might be bad news for any flooring. The more it eats, the less runny the bum hopefully. Does it have clear eyes, no sniffles, no discharges? If so, it seems to be in reasonable health. If otherwise with a runny bum, it would need attention sooner. You know if I was in the vicinity, I'd be round already [emoji14]

If she wriggles, gently grab her scruff, that bit of flabby behind its neck, and pinch. That's what her mum would do and she'll stop dead like she's playing musical statues

are its eyes blue or green Thora? If they're still blue it's under 7 weeks, looks a bit older to me tbh, maybe 9-10 weeksish

It's eyes are clear, and there's no discharge around it's nose/eyes - the other kitten looked much more manky.

It's very friendly and mews/purrs whenever it sees me and is happy to be handled, so it must have been a pet surely? How does a pet kitten end up it this state?

Yup - Also, esp if you have a toddler about, you will need to clean it up well ideally with bleach or similar. A cat living wild, even at that age is liable to be harbouring worms and/or other nematodes. Normal hygiene should see you ok but you most certainly don't want a youngster picking these-up.

Tuna might be a bit rich if it's not used to it, but it should get used to it. Some boiled chicken would be ideal.

I think I might have located a friend of the owners on a local Facebook site. All sounds a bit sketchy though, they thought the kittens were 8 weeks when they got them but they got them off someone dodgy and they might be younger, they somehow got out the cat flap etc.

Yay! Shame they got them from a less than kosher source but it's better someone who appreciates them has them. Less poo for you to clean up

Might be as well to get her to the vet anyway if you can Thora - just to make sure she's ok and safe to go to a new home

I don't know, only at some point today I think. Though they seem to have just gone out the cat flap so not exactly "escaped" - owner couldn't shut the cat flap because they have loads of other cats.

This. Please. If they have only got out today and are in that state I dread to think about the rest. The vet intervention for the other one might be one way they might be visited but there's no guarantee.
