Kingstonian goalkeeper jumps into the crowd to confront Bognor Regis supporters

It's something I'd wondered actually, but as someone new to proceedings I didn't feel best placed to raise it. How much of what people like about Hamlet/Champion Hill is due to the relative freedoms afforded by being one the fringes of 'the system'?

It's difficult, because obviously you don't want a team to be happy just treading water in a division, but success may well bring bad as well as good.

Lots - it's simply more laid-back and more fun. As someone that's come from 15 years with a season ticket with a league club (and I've renewed at Charlton for next season), it's been a bit of a culture shock to feel part of the action rather than be just a spectator - cordial chats with rival fans still throw me a bit - but the social aspect of going to Dulwich matches is what won me over, which is something the "oh, you're just a load of hipsters" brigade simply don't understand. It really wouldn't have the same appeal if booze was banned and segregation was brought in. I'm not even sure the quality of football would rise in compensation in, say, Conference National.

But then I'm a newcomer as well, and I wouldn't want to crush anyone's dreams of DHFC powering through the leagues...
