The doctor is looking closely at the cut on Barrera's head, but the fight is still on.

Barrera is definitely in trouble and may be pulled out if he doesn't show he can do something about Khan's speed and power.

Another round for Khan on my scorecard.

Slightly less uneven in the fourth, but still Khan's round for me. Khan is boxing really well and it's getting ever bleaker for Barrera. The ref has gone over to talk with Barrera but the fight is still on.

Barrera's work seems more desperate than venomous, little real quality from Barrera but plenty from Khan. Khan is as fast as lightning and Barrera seems bemused. There's simply no respite for Barrera from Khan's speed and savvy at the moment and no way for Barrera to breach Khan's defence.

The referee has stopped it.

Khan has stopped Barrera on cuts in the fifth.

MAB reckons he's been robbed by a head butt. According to the interpreter (whose now managing to answer questions before mab opens his mouth).

Now Don King is saying it was a headbutt, but doesn't want to take anything away from Khan.

Sounds to me as though Don King, who is MAB's long-term promoter, might have just stepped over MAB's body to greet his conquerer. No talk of a rematch though, at least I haven't heard any yet, although Frank Warren is already saying he wants a world title fight for Khan some time this year.

don't they use supper glue to stop the flow of blood, don't use that kind of thing in war or hospital?

does not work if you keep getting hit though , from what i saw khan would have won , mind you to many people have to much money invested in him for any other result .

Great result for Khan (didn't see it) but I feel sad that one of my favourite boxers ever has lost in a way. Not often that I would say that when a non British fighter fights a british one.

Prescott re-match ?

Will Khan fight Breidis Prescott again ? After all it was him who gave Khan a good whoopin and its unfinished business surely ? I remain unconvinced about Khan and whilst not doubting his ability in the speed department I feel once he comes up against a real puncher his chin is going to let him down again. Having said that Freddie Roach has clearly tidied his defence up somewhat. Barrrera was unlucky with the cut but is way past his best, retire with your head held high Champ !!

you shouldn't underestimate how much affect a cut like that will have on a boxers performance, the fight was over by the end of the first round and the win to khan means nothing. i would like to see a re-match

This was a lose lose fight for Khan IMO

He loses and his career is pretty much over.

He wins and everyone goes on about MAB being past it.

Khan boxed perfectly, We now all know he's got a glass jaw, but he used his speed effectively. He'll never be a great due to that jaw but is good enough to win a belt or 2 as long as he can avoid getting caught. His defence looked 100% better in this fight but like dtb said it was effectively over after the 1st round

+, I'd also like to see Khan v Prescott after that. Beat the man who KO'd him and he'll be fully redeemed. All this talk about fighting for a world title this year doesn't sit right with me.

He looked good, always did, but MAB was out of it from the cut onwards :(

Not really a victory, yes Khan was on top form, but he wasn't pitted against a able bodied opponent. That cut no doubt caused huge disadvantages for Barerra. I think Barerra had more in him just unfortunate for both parties that the oppurtunity to show that was closed early on.
