I'd agree and point out the Notts Miners scenario is now a depressingly common phenomenon in many strikes. But you don't see the left kicking up about it - they just downplay it now (or ignore it entirely) and make ludicrously hyperbolic claims of "solid! Fantastic!" strikes.

I call it scabbing too - but it looses it's potency if the scabbers are in the majority, doesn't it? THAT'S what's wrong in many workplaces - and is being ignored.

Does it? I don't think it does. I was also a member of what was NATFHE and I don't recall any members at (unnamed college) refusing to strike during the last strike in 2002. I guess it all depends on the union really.

I don't always agree with baldwin but to compare them with posters on Shitfront is a bit much. I've spent time there as an observer and baldwin's views would be considered pinko liberal on there.

My views are Internationalist and Socialist.
I think that the vast majority of people in this country and across the world deserve a better deal out of life.
I think that there is a conspiracy of indifference that runs thru political life.
And i think the Liberal left are often as guilty as the right wing.
Saying that does not make me right wing. I want to see a Left that is geniunelly representative of all they would hope to represent.
