Ken Livingstone is a fucken wanker

It's becoming a play on words and the point is being missed.

There are people in all walks of life that use a front, a show of bravado to cover up the real intent and to mislead the unwary.

Robert Maxwell, a prime example, all huff and puff with a personal hidden agenda,

Ken Livingstone is someone who has made good, climbed over a few people to get where he is, surrounds himself with his old friends and cronies, and generally misleads everyone with his holier than thou attitude of " two ways of doing things, my way and the wrong way"

But, that is labour politics at the moment.

That is disgraceful.

The problem we face is that we have the blood of Iraqis and Afghans all over our hands. Until we clean up the vomit and blood from the walls of our own house, it is impossible to criticise others.

Making a Great, pacific Britain is the best way to criticise other countries. Only by setting a better example can we hope to have any say. Right now our words are morally bankrupt.

A shame, but then that is what eight years of Anthony Charles Lynton Blair's deceptions does for you.

Would you rather have Tiananmen Square in Trafalgar Square or be flying people off to places where they are tortured and killed?

Neither, thanks.
Ditto. People in glass houses and all that...

We cannot take the moral high ground with our record. Belmarsh, leaving British residents to stew in Guantanamo, Walter Wolfgang, Maya Evans, Malcom Kendall Smith, allowing rendition flights access to our airspace and airports, police brutality against protesters...

He's only gone and compared Tiananmen square to the anti-poll tax riots.

Can we compare the stupid tax hike for the 2012 sports day to the poll tax. At least I used some of the services I paid for with the poll tax. Is China still picking kids and hot housing them in sports prisons so they can win for the State - or have they stopped now?

Bear said:
...I know someone who taught English in China and they told me that people in some parts of the country don't even know that the government killed all those protestors. The Chinese people have their news, press and even text books censored for fuck sake - it's a barbaric totalatarian regime that only gives a fuck about it's young healthy citizens. If you're old, handicapped, or whatever in China the party don't give a fuck about you.
Oh, you haven't been, but you know someone who has. Guess that makes you our resident expert then?

As someone who's actually lived in Beijing and worked for the Chinese state propaganda service *ahem*, I mean English language news service, I have a news flash for you:

Yes, there is censorship, but I'd reiterate my previous point, people in glass houses and all that...

Q: You think we don't have censorship over here?
A: D Notices.

And only recently there was a thread here with a link to Indymedia, where people had sent 20 messages to the BBC for their comment section, half were in support of the recent public strikes, half were against. All those against the strikes were published online, only one in support of the strikers was.

Also, it's a matter of spin. One essential difference between the output of Chinese and British media is that if an adverse event occurs, i.e. SARS, a mine explosion, the traditional government response has been to deny in the first instance, whereas over here in the UK the instinct is to spin - the memo to release and 'lose' bad news on 9/11.

Once the Chinese government cottons on to the advantages of spinning bad news instead of suppressing and censoring it, there'll be even less difference.

What's the difference? China censors the truth by suppressing it, Blair's government censors the truth by spinning it. The difference is that some people over here adopt a superior and censorious attitude to China, when we don't actually have it that much better over here.

I have another newsflash for you: having acquired a physical disability in this country two and a half years ago, I can confidently and categorically state from personal experience that the UK government don't give a fuck about 'handicapped' either.

You witless oaf.

I was in liverpool on thursday with a wonderful lady.
I found the people there to have a great sense of humour.

Pity a witless oaf like you can't see the :D

Yeah, but we know how you rightwingers (like Jack Straw) like to have your "little jokes" about Merseyside, while meaning every word.

Nice to see you making your thoughts on the working class of Liverpool known (I would say clear, but it's apparent that none of your thought processes can accurately be referred to that way).

In any case, who gives a shit what a rancid little individual like yourself thinks, anyway?

best insult I've had in ages

I am incapable of thought so I must revert to a simple "fuck off wanker"

And just for Daddy, I'm not all that right wing.
By the way the lady I was with was not so much from liverpool but just at uni there.
She a foreign visitor to our shores so I'll just enslave her a little and call her a chink so you can call me a racist as well. :D

Hmmm, that's virtually an admission that you actually haven't retired from trolling. :)

And I've told you to stop calling me dad. You know yer mum doesn't like being reminded.

Which one, John Moores or t'other?
The missus did her degree in "International Relations" at John Moores (or Liverpool Poly as was then).
She's also a woolyback (that means she's from Birkenhead in case you're wondering!) and says you're talking a bag of arse about the 'pool in the 80s when Militant was around. Even her late nan, a lovely lady who was a nurse and lived and worked in Liverpool most of her life, reckoned the council services ran better when Militant had their hands on the reins of power than any time since the late 1950s/early 1960s.

Whjhy would I need to call you a racist, I'm sure the lady would give you a good pasting herself for being a cunt. :p

I have retired - But I'm still a little to the right of the liberal party.
Don't know Which one as the subject has never come up but she's far too nice to hit anyone.
I would never dream of calling her anything but wonderful.
The comment was aimed at those here who think I'm so stupid as to be racist.
Some can't seem to get it into their thick skulls that I'm not just anti racist but love to learn about other cultures.
Some seem to think that my opposition to an open door policy in the UK is the same as me saying "fuck off pakis"
(Bet some twat takes the last three words of that comment alone to prove I am a racist)
I wish they would wake up and work out that I'm far from the racist bigot they paint me as.
Anyway back to the thread.
The services were never in question but I was suggesting that Hatton shares a trait or two with red Ken.

Yeah, but you can safely make that claim about 98% of politicians. You've got to be a bit power-mad and mercenary to go in for it in the first place.

People constantly bang on about communism and fascism causing millions of deaths - has anybody calculated how many deaths Capitalism has been responsible for? I reckon not as they'd probably run out of zeros!

You'll be able to give us a number then.

I'll start this game with 50,000 under 5 year olds expiring everyday from malnutrition and basic preventable disease.

Thats three holocausts a year!

how many deaths Capitalism has been responsible for?

Oh, where do you start with that one?

The Potatoe Famine in Ireland, The highland clearance in Scotland, The campaigns in India, the rise of the British Empire, and that's only the Brits, then the Spanish conquest of South America, then the French, the Dutch, The Ottoman empire, The various Dynastys in China, The mongols, the Khans, they were all up to improve the pocket money and create a few new ways of making money.

Then. mustn't forget the arms trade, now that's a lucrative bundle of tricks, and the license to trade comes from the government... not as though they are turning a blind eye to it all. Bet they charge for the license.

Communism and facists, Amateurs, they only been at it a 100 years or more, the Capitalists have been there since time immemorial.

Hang on , who financed the Crusades and King John and all that lot, Don't talk to the Palenstinians about that one.

Wha about those people who build the 727, 737 and 747.. they build some tasty missiles when you get into trouble and their rocket launchers wooow and those cruise missiles, a million quid each and it's not even re-usable. I'd want my money back.

This would be the same newsgroup that the Jewish journalist who Livingstone made the ss guards remark about, I found all that really warped and hypocrital.

One could understand the chagrin and disappointment is having a 'hack' chasing after you when you have held the exalted position of guest writer. Surely, he should have arranged an appointment and submitted a list of questions.

The absolute horror of being confronted by a junior Journo, complete and utter dismay and , really, an undertandable reaction of a man of the people, elected to office and as a representative of the, said, electorate.

Tut, what ever next, photos while you beat up your partner?

Quotes from trips abroad?

Will these people never learn, as a dictator, opps, sorry, leader, one can do as one likes without care or concern for the masses.

The opening statement of 'this was in my manifesto and you elected me' , ( not the party, as he used to claim) works wonders for a little understanding in your leaders.

My name's not simon and the only bates round here is you, the master.

I was in liverpool for only a short time but while I was in a kebab shop I ended up talking to the Pakistanni owner (nice guy) a malay customer who i had a very long conversation with as I will soon be visiting Malaysia and a few other local people who just happened to pop into the shop.
The people were all chatty, friendly types and all had a fine sense of humour.
I had just returned from London where it's hard work getting directions from anyone in the bloody street it was nice to see such a nice bunch of people.

Odd you should mention rhythmically gifted black people. I have met loads. I'm a sound engineer and so I do very often. Twat.

What with you being a sound engineer and all, I can only hope to god you saw fit to mark this occasion with a spirited rendition of "We are the World".

Are you from liverpool or something :D
