keeping clothes at work. well do ya??

I have a fancy long coat-type sweater hanging on the back of my door, because the office is kept at freezer like temperatures when it's 30+ degrees outside, and 3 pairs of black heels in varying heights and pair of white python boots that I forgot there once and haven't bothered taking home.

I'm always walking to work in flip-flops or comfy walking shoes in the summer, or fuck-off snow boots in the winter and I can't stand to be one of those chicks who totter around in 4 inch heels looking like a fashion plate rather than just getting there quickly and in comfort.

Hahahhahaha thank God I got out the office thing. All I have to work now is 5/6 navy blue PPE suits to wear in my lab!

....totally unstylish but yet quite practical i find!

so i was chatting to a friend the other day, and he reckons that all the girls he knows keep at least three outfits in the office, in case they stop out all night/spill coffee all over themselves or whatever.

now, looking at my haul here at work, i have a cardigan, a pair of flip-flops and some peep-toe sandals. am i a freak? do the rest of you urban ladies have three outfits at work? or was my friend playing sick mind games with me??

either way, i think it's a top idea and i may start keeping a supply of clothes at work. saves on storage space at home an all. everyone's a winner

When I rode my bike to work, I kept two suits, shirts etc there, so I could change once I got there.

I keep spares of every clothing item at work - I cycle in and occasionally forget to pack the odd thing

Yup, I've always kept extra clothes at work - when I left my last job I had 2 boxes just of clothing to cart home. I currently have:
1 x posh suit in case of evening work things
1 x posh tobe and hijab (ditto but for Sudanese events)
About 4 pairs of shoes
2 x cardis
2 x strappy tops for when my staff go home and I can no longer bear how hot it is
Assorted skirts, trousers (mostly things I don't like) for emergency coffee-in-lap incidents

Plus a bunch of makeup, deoderant, toothbrush etc etc.

Needless to say, my office is a tip

Steel toe cap boots and a pair of trousers which I wear for work and then I bring my work shirt in daily . Since I cycle to work I change when I get there !
