although i don't eat them any more i used to fuckin love kebabs- especially the lamb doners that are made of actual cuts of lamb rather than the minced orribleness. would never eat them with chips though... and i was cycling 50 miles a day.

Kebab fans MUST make a pilgrimage to the birthplace of the Doner - Berlin!

They use a lightly toasted bap instead of pitta bread, and the one that I had was fucking magnificent (from a little shop opposite the prison entrance on alt.Moabit).

They also serve alcohol which is very civilised, and unthinkable in UK kebab shops..

How on earth can anyone be shocked that doner kebabs are unhealthy? You can see the bloody grease running down the things and they taste as if they're full of salt. probably there was that incident about 5 years ago when the kurds and turks had it out with kalashnikovs in the middle of the day, became the first part of mainland britain to have armed patrols in civilian areas.

yes, there has been some fucking dodgy shit in that area but you wouldn't know for the most part unless you were involved.
