That jesus one was alright but dunno bout runaway. I can never decide with people like kanye whether i should have some(strictly) in my collection, not that i'd listen to it but because of the historical impact he's had or a resounding No!

The man is the biggest arsehole in music, and that takes some doing.

Jumped on stage to disrupt Beck's acceptance speech cos he didn't agree with the win, before he caught himself and sloped off. Was scathing in an interview later.

Is he aware he is now an international joke? We all like a good laugh at Kanye's ridiculousness...

Its not even like he's any great shakes himself really. He's certainly no Wu Tang

I thought he was mocking his previous stage invasion?

If he wasn't, that's quite amazing dickishness.

Beyonce must be pretty embarrassed with his tongue so far up her arse too.

He tried to style it out as such, but when interviewed later he said
“Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point we tired of it because what happens is when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats in music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration.
We aren’t playing with them anymore. And by the way, I got my wife, my daughter, and I got my clothing line, so I’m not going to do nothing that would put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That’s the reason why I didn’t say anything tonight, but you all knew what it meant when ’Ye stepped on that stage.”

Thing is, Beck has been one of the most eclectic and creative artists over the last 20 years, to complain that he doesn't respect creativity is a totally ignorant thing to say.

Any amateur psychologists on? Surely he has narcisistic personality disorder (Kanye, not Beck)

All about his "brand", isn't it? This seems just a ploy to remind everyone he still exists and casually mentioning he has a clothing line and shit.
Same as washed out Britpop stars slagging each other off on NME every time their massively overrated band that only gets press because one of them sold two million records in 1998 has a new record out or teen pop stars doing something CRAZY and OUTRAGEOUS once they need to reach a new demographic.

Next he'll probably just sample the hell out of Loser, and rap that he's Jesus or something on top of it.

I'm listening to that Beyonce album now, just to witness this towering creative achievement.

First song appears to be about how painful it is to be pressured by society into being beautiful.

Strong start.

He would have got away with it too if he hadn't started ranting afterwards

Jay-Z's face says it all

'ye = PMSL. I always cringe a little when people make up their own nicknames.

I think if I was Jay-Z and Bouncy I'd commence the phasing out. 'We'd love to get together but we're just so busy/Blue has chicken pox/ I have scabies'
