Well I don't think he would flop, he's too good for that. Could see it pissing off Lampard and maybe Terry though. Can't see the rampaging version of Lampard working with Kaka. Seems a strange target for Chelsea, really. Ribery or such would make far more sense.

Depends on how good he'll be at adapting to a new country, he'll have to adapt really fast if he's being payed that much. We'll see though,might be easier for him with ancelotti being there however. Lampard/kaka could work together i think, but would need to be in a different formation.

That didn't work out so great with Scolari once the dimwitted PL managers figured out their fullbacks were AWOL, and it hasn't been working so great for Meelan either. Hell, they were happy to have David Friggin Beckham providing some width!

All seems very risky, upending a formation and style that they're very used to, to accomodate a one player, even one as good as Kaka. Will the end result even be better than the current team? Very very iffy. Why not just get a good right winger and some younger midfielders at half the price and call it a day?

That's certainly the rumor. Perez, after all, is not a stupid man, and he will have learned from the last time. He also has Zidane in his ear. Disturbing though it may be, he could well get it right this time.

Though I don't think going for Vidic would be wise, really. He's nothing special on the ground, which is where Spanish teams tend to play it. Much more suited to the English game I reckon.

Fair point, hadn't thought of that really, Ferdinand would be more suited perhaps but he would not go. I have a strong feeling Vidic would want to go.
