We'll see. It's still 2-1 to us in arbitration terms.

Not going to do any squirming because there is nothing to squirm over.

Actually, between West Ham and Sheff Utd it's 1 - 0 to us, the other arbitration cases were 2 - 0 to the Premier League (altho the second panel said if they had conducted the original panel they'd have come to a different conclusion and also said West Ham got away with cheating and lying, so really between the two clubs it's 2 - 0 to Sheff Utd)

If West Ham want to take things further, they'll have to explore a different avenue like we did after the original rulings (where we took the Premier League to court). We won't agree to go to another arbitration panel as we just won, so I have no idea where West Ham can take it cos it certainly won't be against us (the decision by this panel was final) so maybe it'll be against your former Chairman or ironically it might be against the Premier League for not relegating you in the first place! :D

Run this past me... I support neither of the clubs and was led to believe that the player in question was signed by the previous administration. . . . . . but, another club only score something like 8 goals in away matches, lose the last game of the season which they only had to draw to stay in the premiership and yet are blaming another team/club. . . . . because they won their games. How many goals did the 'new' player score in his supposed rescue of the club?

Couldn't any team that was relegated claim that?

Seems a little strange to an onlooker.

I think it's the fact that the key player in West Ham's finishing above Sheff U was signed against Premier League rules. This is a fact.

Pretty obvious tbh, Sheffield United are owed big time

Wasn't the first tribunal independent too? You know the one that CR thought was corrupt, the one which found more on WHU's side!

All of a sudden independant tribunals are great cos they decide in Sheff Utd's favour, funny that!

Then again, as I have pointed out several thousand times, before those two players signed it looked as if we would have an average season and finish about 11th. Tevez was utter gash for far more games than he was actually any good. We would never have been anywhere near relegation in the first place if he and mascherano hadn't signed.

This is the only tribunal that West Ham have been at, so no tribunal has ever found on West Ham's "side"

The original tribunal was against the Premier League to reinstate us and was a Premier League tribunal. The second Premier League tribunal said if they had been on the panel of the first one, they would have found exactly the same way as this latest FA tribunal but found the Premier League had acted in accordance with the rules

Well I don't think we'll ever agree on this, so why don't we let the arbitration panel decide, oh, they already did and they said I WAS RIGHT AND YOU WERE WRONG (in their official press release)

If you throw enough shit, some will stick.

Tell you what, Terry Brown vs McCabe deathmatch. Settle it like men.

Just heard that the tribunal will decide that Bldes lost out to the tune of £30m , but that they would have had to spend atleast £45m to mount a decent challenge the following season. The result being that the tribunal have ordered Blades to pay WHU £15m.:D

You're absolutely bonkers.

You're absolutely bonkers.
Erm nothing I said in that post is incorrect

West Ham have been to one tribunal and lost. Deal with it sucker!

Also, West Ham cannot appeal that decision as they agreed it would be final

Also also, West Ham can't pursue any action against us as they can't force us to go to an arbitration panel and the "real" courts won't touch it as they told us to fuck off when we tried, so if you want to sue anyone or take anyone to an arbitration panel it won't be us!

Just a thought, and this is in all seriousness. If the PL had deducted three points from WHU in the first place and Sheff U had still been relegated, would we still have all this compo stuff. What if 6 points wasnt enough to save Sheff U, or 9 points etc. How mcuh of a deduction was enuff for it to be fair?

What happens this year if Luton stay up in Div2, does a relegated club launch a claim stating that 32 points of whatever it was wasn't a big enuff punishment? What if Watford miss out on safety, or the Prem by one point do they sue the referee? We are entering very dangerous territory folks which threatens to complete the destruction of the beautiful game!

To be honest, I think McCabe just sees an opportunity to cash in, I can't believe he ever thought he'd avoid relegation. Cunt of the highest order, but if I was an exec I'd consider it my duty to explore all avenues.

There's no disputing that we (i.e. Brown et al) were pretty fucking stupid, mostly in the clumsy attempts to bodge through tricky questions - this is where were reamed by the PL. The actual 'offence' could only have damaged us by having a clause (never enacted) allowing kia to take players away without our consent, and ironically enough Sheff Utd did exactly the same - twice. Only we won and they lost.

Points shouldn't have come into it, it should have been automatic relegation no matter where anyone finished in the league

Er no you fucking cheated and lied, let's get our facts right shall we?

Lets be honest. we broke a very technical rule, not actually intended for the situation to which it was applied, and which most fans didnt even know existed. Sheff Utd were just technically crap!

Lets be honest. we broke a very technical rule
That's not the point, you broke it deliberately and concealed it so you could sign two international super stars that had you not deliberately broke the rules to sign, would never have signed for West Ham at all

Erm, no. Concealed, yes, and we were busted - the board did a pretty shitty job of fixing that one. Knew about it beforehand, I doubt it, it was only when Masher went to Liverpool that the shit hit the fan. To be honest, I suspect attention wasn't really paid as we thought kia would be buying the club in any case.

kia and co didn't buy the club, so it was out of frying pan and into fire.

Er no you fucking cheated and lied, let's get our facts right shall we?

Again, no.

Lied, yep, I'd give you that one, silly sods (board and PL) handled the whole affair badly. And we were punished for it.

Cheated, no, unless you count having a clause in a contract that could only actually hurt us as cheating. Didn't you have the same clause but actually invoke it? Isn't that worse?

A clause that would have prevented you from signing the players in the first place is cheating considering you did buy them...

No you're falling for the bullshit spread about by that fat West Ham fan...

Not only in the front row of the tribunal, also a fly on the wall of the contract negotiations. You get around.

Maybe, just maybe, West Ham got them as kia was trying to buy the club?

Seemed pretty open-and-shut to me. Naughty Sheff Utd.
