Just who do we think we are?

"....as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heavan as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said "Men of Galile, why do you stand looking into heavan? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heavan, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heavan"...Acts 1:9, 10 & 11

Sort of, "Watch this space" hey?

I've long though that we're an alien slave race.

I've long thought that Jesus was an alien (slightly more believable than he's the son of god IMO)

Maybe our "junk DNA" holds some clues.

theres a Chris De Burgh song about that...

I've long though that we're an alien slave race. Not a "slave race" more of a "race enslaved". Or corrupted, possibly both, certainly one kept in ignorance, and by our so called religious leaders and for too long. However this state of affairs almost passed it's sell by date, we may be about to "wise up".

actully i'm edging towards shinto... no more ridiculous than any other religion and at least i like miko outfits

Do we as human beings have a "soul" or "Ka" as the Egyptians called it and, further to this, are we unique? I know from personal experience that we do survive death. I also know cos I have had the unnerving experience of being very close to one, that there are "evil sprits", spirits that can and do posses the vulnerable. Therefore there is another none physical plane of existence.

Are we unique? Yes and it must be something in our DNA "upgrade" :) which enables us to be in on the same wavelengh so to speak with the "spiritual" aliens who in the first place had the great idea to genetically modifying some apes.

Aliens as "spiritual beings"? Well in the Book of Enoch, when "The Watchers" were sentenced, in the summing up, they are told that while they were "spiritual", the emphasis is on the word, "were" cos they no longer are, having defiled their selves with, "The daughters of men". Further more as their hybrid offspring are neither one or the other, they shall be "evil spirits", confined to earth. While at the same time they will have no chance of ever becoming human. They don't like us, especially women.

Maybe our "junk DNA" holds some clues....DotCom 62.....I reckon it does. Why does mankind have a tendency to be aggressive towards one another? Well apes are territorial and they are aggressive towards any other group encroaching upon their patch. They will attack another rival group, if they reckon they can take over the rivals patch...Yes, it's generally a man's world in ape society. No difference there yet.:D

However, while mankind is made up of basically five races with many "tribal" sub divisions, we all have one thing in common, this "extra" DNA. If, big "if" we were only aware of this, :hmm: in other words, if we knew that we all shared "One Father" in this matter, would it not dawn upon us, that if this was the case then would it also not dawn upon us that we are all this Father's children. With me so far? :) See where this is heading? ;)

However, while mankind is made up of basically five races

Are you sure about this? Where's you evidence to back up this bold assertion? Race is generally recognised within the scientific community as a social construct with no objective reality.

So is the OP basically saying we come from aliens, and aren't, as lots of evidence suggests, evolved from primates? I mean actual aliens, not some bits of protein and dna attached to a wandering rock, yer actual aliens?

Has there been mention of pendulums yet?

Peakman - you should read some Eric von Daniken cos he was into all that kinda stuff...I read the comic versions when I was a kid, and was scandalised by the sex scenes in it, and later came to think 'Hmmm, this is very much like a soap opera, and all the characters seem to have very human motivations, not alien.

Indeed, your posts characterise alien and human motivations as being very similar, a very anthroprocentric view of the universe, no?

You are probably right. It must be to do with our junk DNA. Could it be that this "useless" DNA is acting as an antenna and picking up instructions from the founder race (father of the five races) and issuing instructions to tweak the direction of human development. Maybe that founder race is now called "God". This probably happened 6000 years ago when the earth was formed. At the same time they placed red herring evidence upon the earth to throw us off track, like fossils.

You see? Anyone can write this pointless bullshit, it doesnt make you clever and certainly dosent make you right.

Youre either trolling or so wrongheaded and scientifically illiterate that all hope is lost. I for one hope it is the former. Either way I wont be wasting any time debating with a loon.

I used to sometimes ponder as a kid while sat on the throne whether it was possible that there was a whole other universe inside my tummy kinda processing the food, making it into poo, and heaving it out... and then inside all the little people making up my tummy universe there would be another whole tummy universe of little people processing the food, making it into poo etc. a veritable infinity of tummy universes...

The ones I'm talking about are colour coded so there can be no mistake. ;)
P.S. Am I being totally P.C. here? :(

The concept of race is genetically dead; aside from some environmentally caused changed (e.g. darker skin in sunny places, short bodies with high BMIs for cold places, all of which are evolutionary adaptations to enhance survivability) there is only one 'race' of human on earth.

And no, you're not being 'PC' there.

Von Daniken, yes, when he first appeared on the scene. Also Robert K.G.Temple's "The Sirius Mystery" when that was first published. Then there is J.E. Blumrich, who if anyone, can be classified as an "Expert witness" on the subject of whether or not this earth has been visited by aliens at some time in the past.

Very human motivations Well they would have, wouldn't they? Except it could be said, "We have their motivations". ;)

Ever read The Nicean creed? . :) And you say I'm talking bullshit. :D

What, so you've died and are posting as a non-corporeal entity?

No, never died, not in this life anyhow. ;) But if you had had your father brought to you, for you to tell him he was dead. You too would have to accept that this is the case. May I just add, I was never close to my father and that incident has never been repeated. In fact, he "owes me" cos it was obvious he did not accept that he had been dead for two weeks, it dawned upon him when I told him. This knowledge or awareness allowed him to "move on". Otherwise?

And then you started posting, don't forget to flush when you log off. ;)
