thank you all for coming - especially those who i thought might turn up their nose at such fare - it was a great night. It really was. I mean, even the bouncers had a great time!

Really big shouts have to go to gav and john for playing so long and hard (oo er) which heralded my somewhat foolhardy decision to make you both play again downstairs on the larger soundsystem.

This caused no end of confusion, as did 3 DJs pulling out on the night.

Next time will be better organised - the DJ set-list will be adhered to like the Word of Fucking God - and hopefully there will be at leasy some political resonance to the whole thing. As it is, a drunk man bought Organise! for 20p, so thats one convert to Anarchist Communism surely.

Finally my deepest apologies for appearing to be somewhat stressed and having no time to engage in friendly banter with ppl i've waited years to meet.

PK off of urban75 turned up, shook my hand and was generally really nice to people (younger readers are unaware of certain threats which flew between the anarchist movment and the one man justice department of brixton back in the day) and made time to say 'bye and thanks at the end

Revol68 too, was polite and well turned out, and any misunderstandings we seem to have encountereed in the past have, happily, remained there

In final, it should have been 3 times the size: i went to a night there the following, and it was heaving. We will look into what went right and who went wrong, and the next one will be an absolute stonking marriage of solidarity and repetitive beats - tho possibly in a pub not a huge club like the redstar.

FWIW we mate 400 spondoolicks and that was after paying DJs taxi fare and tipping the bouncers tenner each for being when helping us load all the cocaine and AKs into the back of the Merc.

This goes 80% of the way towards covering our legal costs, or buys us exactl 2.5 dead russian nazis

oh and the guy th benefit was for was released without charge yesterday too.

I did go on a four day bender after the party, so in some ways that was def rude to my brain lol

When I did my first (and so far only) party a few months back I was so stressed on the night and leading up to it that I may well have been a bit snappy or whatever, so it's not that bizarre an accusation to be honest. Maybe talk to him about it.

I had a top night & you weren't rude to me. I even got a mention in the write-up! Good work.

PPS this will not be the last Just Defy*; as long as inequal exchange rates mean modest takings turn into seruous csh for foreign comrades it is worth doing benefit parties for all sorts of cause. Seriously, the GBP is so strong we should consider it for ppl in the US.

* it was called Just Defy (justify geddit you dumfux) cos we thought that was what the defendent had on their t-shirt at the time of arrest. Turns it siad 'remain opposed' -which would have been a shit name. othe choioce name were Revolutionary Communists' Party but this was vote down by a narrow majority at a million strong meeting of campesino's and workers and Just Defy it its.
