Just bought the latest Radiohead album...

What an album!

indeed...it is quite sublime but I still think The Bends is their best work to date

Now i'm getting into these two tracks:

04 - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi – 5:18
09 - Jigsaw Falling into Place – 4:08

I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as "Hail To The Thief" but I seem to be in a small minority in holding that opinion.

indeed...if you look at the results from my radiohead fave album poll from 2007 you'll see that The Bends and OK Computer won by a wide margin with Hail To The Thief getting only 8% of the votes...of course the latest album is not included.

'Weird fishes' is the perfect tune for an early morning run btw, good tempo, strong beat and a nice spacey feel that makes everything around you look a bit more weird and interesting somehow.

I love the lyrics on that track. Sort of like lots of common radiohead themes boiled down in to something dead simple and really powerful.

btw - is it just me who bought the box + the standard issue of the cd, used the stickers & booklet from the card sleve on a double cd case & put both cds from the box in it?

No I got the boxed set too.
It's a lovely piece of work.

^ yeah. but ending up with the box set, the cds in a diy cd case, plus the commercal cd in whats left of the card sleeve is a bit much really.

now that i've listened to this latest effort i think it may possibly be as good as The Bends

but teh jury is still out...have to listen to it a bit more. Track 01 - 15 Step is quite superb now that i've heard it a few times....

teh tunes are superb with the exception of one or two tracks....

Well some of the songs on the second CD are ace.

Now I wouldn't like to encourage anyone to download it for free especially after the first album was generously given away for nothing.

But it's worth hearing.

just finished rplaying cd2 - Last Flowers To The Hospital and Four Minute Warning should've been on the main album/deserve a wider release.

well after listening to the entire album at least 20 times I would say the best one is track 05 - All I Need

On that track I like all the xylophones and cymbals and shit
