Julien Blanc: UK 'denies visa to pick-up artist'

But aren't the rest of us totally fed up with other people's insistent erections? I was using the term rather metaphorically, I admit.

And here's another one

A pro-rape 'pick up artist' has organised events for men in the UK

A controversial ‘pick up artist’ who believes ‘rape should be legalised on private property’ has organised events in eight UK cities so like-minded men can meet up.

The anti-feminist blogger Daryush Valizadeh, who goes by the name ‘Roosh V’, shares tips on how to ‘pick-up' women on his website – such as “stop asking for permission” – and in his self-published books, which give advice on how to have more sex with women in different countries.

One of Valizadeh’s blog posts in February 2015 was widely condemned for advocating legalising rape in order to force women to take responsibility for their security and events “that are easily preventable”. The post, entitled ‘How to stop rape’, said some women would claim they were assaulted the day after having sex just because they felt “awkward, sad, or guilty after a sexual encounter they didn’t fully remember”.

It also claimed women should be made responsible for ensuring they were not raped, instead of teaching men not to rape. “I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds,” he wrote.

Sorry for posting nearly the entire article, but that last bit really fucks me off.

This has been all over my facebook for the last couple of days, with counter protests being organised and lots of attention being given to the guy. Can't help but feel this is exactly what he wants, the whole MRA shit feeds off the myth of poor oppressed mens, and this will just be taken as evidence of it.

At the same time, it'd be useful for local clubs etc. to be given photos of the fedora-clad fuckwits attending, so that they can exclude people from the premises to keep their patrons safe.

Tbf Russell Brand admitted in revoultion to being a massive arse at times and having issues with control freakry along with substance abuse etc so has come by some self knowledge and is in recovery so quoting him when he was out of control and off his face a lot of the time may not be that helpful.

Roosh V is a scumbag he hates women and also men who don't want to take the "red pill"

He ideas are fine if your a 17yr old idiot very sad if you can attempt to be seen as an adult.
Don't think hes in his fortys yet but buying a porsche and attempting to pick up 18 year old girls in it is in his future

There's a thread on Roosh V here if you search that name (can't easily link from phone sorry).

'Red pill moment' is what MRAs refer to as the when they noticed that they are the real victims.

Refers to the scene in the movie 'The Matrix' where Neo is offered the choice of a blue pill or red. Yes, really.
I haven't seen the Matrix, so didn't get the reference. (Still don't fully: does Neo realise he's a victim at this point?)

I'm having to think back to about 2001 here, but I don't think so, no. Iirc, you take the blue pill and forget ever meeting what's his name who is offering. Take the red , and they wake you up from the machine and you live in the real world - no going back from that.

Ah cheers. So taking the red pill is a metaphor for accepting "reality".

They talk about 'red pill moments' as being the time they have their eyes opened to reality. So more having one's eyes opened than simply accepting iyswim.

I used to have an MRA in my class. Teach asked him to switch the OHP on for her as he was tall enough to reach. He walked back to his seat saying " that was my red pill moment, lol". That kind of thing.

Sounds tiresome.

I suppose they must watch the Matrix at their first meeting, or the symbolism would be lost on them.

What's an MRA?
Men's Rights Activist. Thinks men are oppressed and women privileged, anti feminist, rail against Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) which is the new term for Feminazis. Many try to hide behind a figleaf of promoting masculinity and femininity and thereby claiming they want equality (equal but different) but actually invariably mysoginistic arseholes.

There's a brilliant scene in season 7 of Parks and Recreation that really explains all you need to know about men's rights activists but it's a but spoilery if you haven't watched the program (it's a truly brilliant comedy, on US netflix, up to season 6 iirc).

If I get killed right now by an idiot, the media wouldn’t care. They love their power. Tomorrow they would find a new Roosh to martyr.

Yeah, I was posting on the wrong thread.
bimble has linked to the correct one above. Not that I discern much difference between Roosh and Blanc, tbh, except that the latter actually organises real meetings that he attends.

sounds like a modern fash line that...equality but difference of culture

Definitely, and also lends itself to fascism, seeing govt (ruling) as a masculine venture, western liberal democracy is a feminised version of govt, enmasculating the western world and leading to our downfall. Fascism is the most masculine form of govt and we need a strong male leader etc...
