I've had my jukebox a few months now and its the classic jukebox tunes that get put on the most.

Favourites with the kids and their drunk parents include rock'n'roll, soul classics, pop favourites for dancing and the odd punk/new wave/reggae monster.

I'll post a few of the tunes which have become favourites already. Help me fill it up with more classics and essentials. What record should every jukebox have?

The kids turn it on just to play this. My job as parent is done

Good one, Mrs R is going to see her tonight, that will go down a storm, and is probably in her record box already, unless she has the 12"

They still produced juke box 7"s until quite late on. I have a juke 7 of this:

Mine is from 1973 but plays uncut singles as well as dinked ones. Good choice, I'll get a copy of that :)

Not on 7". I could get a twelve and cut it down I suppose :D

I've found that dance music and dub don't sound that great - the amp/speakers were not made for it. Very loud and raucous for rock'n'roll etc but digital and bass heavy music not so much.

I am sat here with a box of 7'' singles on by my side, these are three of the first in the box.
Plus The Israelites was the first ever single I bought back in 1969. Sadly they are not (currently) for sale
I also have Teenage Kicks EP in the folded paper sleeve, but I see you already have that.

In 1988 I was driving a 1960 Chevy Brookwood over Golden Gate Bridge heading into San Francisco for the first time when this came on the radio. Just grabbed a copy for £6 off Ebay
