Not anymore mate, not for a long time iirc. Unless you have valid reasons for leaving, as others have said, you could get diddly squat for up to 6 months.
It helps if you live in a shite area where the JC KNOW the employers are shite. Afaik at least tow of the major factories round here have no penalty for you walking out
