What do you do to yourself when you have to listen to really obnoxious pap?!?

Noo no no... I adore Jose but I must admit to not enjoying hearing him played in Asda. I saw him at a small gig last year and he rocked in a gentle folksy way..x

I think he's alright, actually - better than Jack Johnson or Damien Rice, anyway. The tunes I've heard posess a darkly organic, backwoods folky quality, something that the bling-hubcapped 4x4 of overnight global 'slebrity' has a talent for buffing up into superficial, glossy hype in the consciousness and therefore obliterating.

The same could happen to Jandek y'know.

Shouldn't laugh, but I'm a bit tired and I actually found that really funny.
He's not as bad as a disease- on the 0-to-C***play axis of satan's piss he doesn't even score a 3 (where Damien Rice is > 10)...

I heard his cover of Hand On Your Heart by Kylie a while ago on XFM. I very much he's done his own cheesy dance routine to it though.

Falling asleep music.

As a guitarist I think he is great. Very talented player. Brought an interesting new perspective to the acoustic guitar for several players.

Been thinking about buying his album and I not bought an album, for over 20 years. Seriously considering getting his tho. Type of music you can learn and play at parties to entertain people. Single solo layered stuff that isn't effected and dubbed to non-existence like most of the crap that parades as guitar music these days.

Innovation without a machine, something seriously lacking in today's music.
