Jonathon Ross

Jonathon Ross is about as funny as being knee capped.

110% agree. He's a sad twat and about as funny and a burning orphanage.

His interviewing technique is wank and he's like a 17 year old google eyed sycophant when he has any sort of remotely attractive female guest on.

What I've always found amusing is that David Brent is basically Ricky Gervais. He just plays himself. I find that really satisfying.

He's got the most smackable face in telly.

This is such a divvy comment. Could David Brent write the office?

Did anyone see Jonothan Ross on the weekend? He was such a twat in front of Jamie Oliver you could see Jamie just sat down and gave up eventually. Apparently the beeb got 60 complaints too. I couldn't watch the rest in the end, JR pisses me off so much now! He's seriously gone off the boil IMO.

I missed it, but I did see the article on the BBC website about him making a joke about putting something in the water so that people who live on council houses aren't able to breed.

Yeah, he is a wanker, but why would anyone complain that he said that. Isn't it what one would expect of him?

heh, those comments of Ross' don't suprise me at all. the man is a vile sneering snobbish smug wanker.

can you tell i can't stand him?

Well, yeah, but why would people complain, if it is what they expect?

eh? maybe they weren't expecting it. not sure i understand you.

i know several people who think Ross is an intelligent & sensitive man. one who oozes compassion - so i'm guessing these people would've been rather shocked when he shows himself to be the nasty wanker a lot of us already sussed him out to be.

I mean, I genuinely can't understand why upwards of 60 people have complained about a tasteless joke which he made on his show, when all he ever seems to do is tell tasteless jokes. :D

Rick gervais made some really bollox comment 'it works on the metalevel of a play within a play'
It's a comedy series mate, not a film students wet dream

It's a comedy series to us. But to be fair, to him it's several years of his work and life, so he's allowed to be a little bit poncey about it in my opinion.

Must admit I really didn't mind Ross that much, but I think this series is tired and he is coming over as more of a knob than usual.
The guests are poor Nikki, Pete, Sophie Anderton, Gervais (although funny but the interview is a carbon copy of the one last series) and it just aint working anymore. Well certainly not for me anyway.

My problem is that he gets people on, sometimes good guests, and doesnt actually ask them anything remotley interesting. And usually when they start to speak he can;t stand it and talks over them. Its not a talk show. Its a Jonathon Ross is a dick on TV with the occasional famous person. Show. And is therefore shit!

Lol, do you expect to see a parky-style middle class poncey interview when you watch ross? im sure a lot of the people that hate him, tune in every week without fail. personally, I think he's quite funny. Who wants to hear c-listers plugging their shitty autobiogs? Id rather have someone like ross knock them down a peg or two. Yes, there have been shite guests, but as always, ross can salvage the interview. Best thing on friday night, and one of the best things on tv each week. Its a charaxter like brent/gervais, a persona, and people dont get it or want to get it. Fair play, but bet those people, as mentioned, tune in every week, and make the effort of writing to critise every week.

Being a social butterfly I rarely watch it unless it's a weekday repeat on UKTV :p but I think he's either very good or very bad... when he's on form he can be quite edgy, you never know exactly where he's going to go or what he's going to ask. He can be sycophantic at times (Madonna?) but at other times he asks quite personal questions, instead of focusing on showbiz bollocks, which you can see comes as a surprise to some of the US guests. He seems like a genuine person. When he's off form he's boring and doesn't seem to be trying very hard. Same thing with the radio show (which is one of my favourite things on the radio btw)... He may have said something silly about people on council estates but he's more interesting than Parky.
