
I don't want to put a downer on the news, but cancer like that never really goes away does it? I mean, you go into remission, possibly for years, but I didn't think you were ever cured.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, I think that for most types of cancers, if you haven't had a relapse within five years of being given the all-clear, you are back to having your normal level of risk of developing cancer again.


John Hartson has revealed he is to become part of Wales manager Chris Coleman's backroom staff.
The former Wales striker announced the appointment in his Scottish Sun column.
Hartson wrote: "Chris simply asked me: 'Would you like to come and work for me?' I immediately accepted, shook his hand and promised him I'd do anything possible to help make the Wales national team successful."

Former Wales striker John Hartson has thanked the medical staff who saved his life during his 2009 cancer battle by donating £40,000 from his charitable foundation to two Swansea hospitals.
The 39-year-old player turned pundit presented cheques for £20,000 each to Singleton Hospital’s South West Wales Cancer Centre and Morriston Hospital’s Urology Endowment Fund to help other people who are going through cancer and their families.
