John Bolton to lose his job

What a pity he has gone. I hope this doesn't mark a shift by the US to weaken their commitment to reform the UN organsiation.
Why should the US reform the UN? They don't own it, no matter how much they wish they did.

They don't exactly give a shit about what it has to say either (when they feel like it).

This is my huge confusion with america they preach and preach about freedom/democracy or their goverments do and given the opportunity to practise that view in the United Nations to talk with to use these ideals. They don't instead they act like a dictatorship and want their own way.

One day america will uphold their own ideals but if that happens they have to reconigse there is a greater world out there with views they don't like or support.

Btw the Us can't reform the UN as the american view is tottally wrong. Its about what the Us wants rather than what the world at large wants that never work for a international organisation unless the US calms down and gets involved internationally then its just going to continue as it is now.

If I were paying the US share of the UN budget I'd want to have a say about reforming the organisation wouldn't you? It seemed to me this Bolton guy was a straight talker who seemed like a breath of fresh air in the context of the UN.

Janh The problem with bolten he only talked on the american side, the UN is a international organisation, bolten talked on nothing for all the other members.

Bolten spent most of his time running the UN down or picking fights with iran or North korea.

Does anyone know how this "reform" would work. The league of nations died because germany acted like america is doing now wanting everything its own way, the UN looks like going to die the same death. If the members cant or wont agree on anything then the orgnisation is useless. It take international cooperation and not just one nation shouting the odds.

So you're a maoist are you? Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun and all that.

I found Bolton to be one of the more offensive of Bush's apostles.

As the insanity, hopefully, draws to a conclusion for now let's just remember what a nasty little whore he was. In case he resurfaces at a future time.

You must be used to a good deal of stench that you can call Bolton "a breath of fresh air" and here you can take a good look at the pit of US debt to the UN : http://www.globalpolicy.org/finance/info/usdebt.htm
