Jobs You Are Definitely Not Suitable For

Sales, waiting, driving, entertaining, meat production, cooking or serving, armed forces, cop, anything working at height, labourer, politician, receptionist, computer programmer, carpet fitter.

Loads of bloody jobs I'm not suitable for

bridge designer, crane erector, croupier, fireman, surgeon of any kind, demolition expert, professional tightrope walker or acrobat, midwife, hostage negotiator, helicopter pilot.

did that for about a year 20 years ago. I was bloody hopeless, I've never seen the point of anything other than a quid on the national or in a fruit machine or something so people blowing wads of cash on the spin of a roulette wheel mystifies me. Plus, I was really bad at the maths even with the little tricks. I mean really, really bad.

was also a programmer for 7 or 8 years back in the 80's in software houses and the big accountancy/insurance firms. Fucking loved it, once you start thinking the programming way it's a doddle. All went to shit after a bout of depression/heavy drinking.

Sales, marketing, PR. Anything that involves having to say or be "on brand". Anything that involves giving a shit about profit. I'm good in a crisis and fine around body fluids but I hate phlegm so dentistry and respiratory stuff is out. I'm suited to my job I think, just that!

Lawyer/solicitor/MP/anything involving arguing with other people also anything where you get shouted at a lot like police/parking warden/call centre person, I'd just cry all the time.

Anything active.

Anything with dogs.

Anything where you have a really strict dress code or uniform.

Anything in the Tory party.

Teacher, nurse, social worker, U75 moderator. Anything than involves empathy or patience with other people.
Oddly enough I was about to type three of those. I can empathise a little but have absolutely no patience. If you are suffering do as I say and if you don't, serves you right when it all goes tits up. Probably not best suited to teaching or caring.

bailiff. Imagine getting up in the morning and spending your day being a legalised thief for capital and you don't even get much judas money either

Paul Bohill (so?) from off of that Can't Pay We'll Take It Away seems like a genuinely good man. Still a willing stormtrooper loyalist enforcer of the state machine though :(

I spent most of my working life in retail but I could never be a sales person.

Spot on. I'm annoyed with myself for believing the hype now :mad:

One time they did give someone a lift down the council emergency housing office though

I think it's his business or at least he is a partner in the business. That may or may not affect the way he acts on camera.

A friend of mine took a job as a private clamping operator back in the day. He stuck it out for three days before he jacked. Everyone he met wanted to kill him, he had women in tears every day, and someone kicked his van door in on day 3 and followed him around town.

A friend got a temping clerical job. Turned up on her first day to discover it was a debt collection company. She really needed the money but only stuck it out for a couple of days cos she hated it so much. Mainly filing but had to answer the phone too.

I think you need to get an up to date definition of 'retail' before claiming that you worked in it :p
If I hadn't worked my magic on Lewis's and Dorothy Perkins windows how would the public have known they were retail spaces
and if I hadn't opened a large number of charity shops around the country the charities wouldn't have had any retail space in those towns :p:p:p
