Jobs for a College Dropout

Obviously they are, otherwise how would anyone start? It's not like media; no one goes and works as an office junior for free to get experience

Through training schemes for school leavers or take them on as graduates.

whats he interested in? starting from there with something which may fire him up might be helpful.
Even volunteering in some capacity could get him a really good reference with regards his personal qualities and knowledge of his field...:)

You got there before I did. I volunteered after leaving college and eventually got a job out of it.

Rather laughably I did learning support and teaching assistant work after I dropped out.

Then I fucked off abroad and waited until I knew what I wanted to do before reapplying to uni.

I did lots of office temping and call centre work through agencies before I went to uni - Pertemps took me on with no experience bar a Saturday job in an opticians and always found me just enough work.

shops, of all kinds... call centres... anywhere that's looking for staff really.

Start on the floor, work your way up to team leader/supervisor etc

My brother started a plumbing apprenticeship after his GCSEs, didn't like it and left for the army. Didn't like that, came home and started college to do A-levels. Decided that wasn't for him and dropped out. Worked in a few casual jobs then started in a call centre, just on the floor on the phones. He was made team leader and then after a while something else above that. He's happy enough with what he does now and it pays well enough.

Another friend spent 4 or 5 years at college, repeating years, changing courses etc and never actually got a qualification out of it. He started a while ago for some insurance company and worked his way up through that, company car n all that now.
