Job interviews - have you ever had an interview and just known it aint gonna work?

I went to an interview once for a telesales job (I'd just graduated, it's what all social science graduates used to do :D) they asked me if I was in a relationship, I said no, then they asked me if I had recently broken up, I said I had, they asked me if it had upset me, I said that however I felt had nothing to do with being able to sell advertising, and basically left the interview:mad: fuckers:mad:

I did work in telesales for a while, and it turned out I was pretty rubbish at it

I once got asked if I was in a relationship too - at an interview when I was 20.

They then asked me if I intended to get pregnant. Ahh, the good old days.

I got sent to one by a recruitment agent, for a mid-weight developer role. It was clear from the outset that it wasn't even close; very junior, with pay to match. The interviewer and I both agreed it was a pointless waste of our time, and the agent got two irate phone calls that afternoon.

Had one with 2 interviewers which was going okayish. then the boss man came in and hated me on sight. Didn't even try to diguise it. You'd think I stank of dogshit.

Not quite the same, but I had a college interview which was going swimmingly, then a 2nd interviewer turned up who clearly loathed the first interviewer, & hence was really suspicious of me since I'd made a decent impression on the first bloke.

Luckily I already knew I wasn't in a position to take the place up, was all quite disturbing - they would have made for an interesting teaching team .

I did once interview someone who I had worked with before, who had defrauded my previous work place, he didn't recognise me until I told him I recognised him from before and knew he was a wrong un, so we wouldn't be offering him a job, he left a bit shamefaced

About 2 years ago I went for an interview and the interviewer seemed to me to be totally negative and I figured there was no chance I'd be offered the job except as a temp measure. When I got out I phoned the agency and told them I dind't want to know. They spent the next 3 weeks making repeated attempts to get me to go to a second interview, when I finally gave in. The interviewer from first time around asked why I'd been so reluctant to come back, and I told him.

- and didn't get the job!
