I don't really care about his views. Peter Cook had some very dodgy opinions. IMO Bernard Manning is possibly the funniest stand up comedian Britain has ever had, but at least he's funny. The critics of Bernard Manning, thankfully keep him going, and allow him to remain the hate figure I can understand they desire.
Jim Davidson though. Come on. No talent and at the end of his carreer before most comedians. Without the unwarrented ramblings of his haters he would have disappeared with the other dreary 80s stand ups, such as Stan Boardman, Aiden J Harvey and Bobby Davro. The fact is that he is not at all, as he never has-been, so what I don't understand is "why is he still such a big deal for some people?". Even the kind of peasants who watch BBC1 find his material pointless. His career now does not even entail a midnight slot presenting a bloopers and blunders out takes programme. His career now relies only of sales of videos of stand up shows sold to very few people who fancy a night of some guy saying rude words on stage, and little rants about "towel heads" and "illegals".
For Gods sake fellas. Let this non entity go.
