Jello Biafra ... LIVE! (not spoken word) in the UK!

Jello Biafra is an embarrassment, my girlfriend had the displeasure of a day in his company and she says he is a total fuckwit, needed constantly looked after like a chid, couldn't even book his own flights and was very graspy when it came to the money. My short encounter with him would suggest she is onto something. His politics in his spoken word are cringe inducing, the same undeveloped punk rock bullshit he never seemed to have got over. I liked his spoken word stuff when I was 15 but seeing him live when I was 22 just hit home to me how awful his politics are, still telling people not to work for multi national corporations and to buy from smaller shops etc.

Bizarre indeed.
With the fucked-up world we live in, and people more interested in watching "reality" TV bullshit on TV than challenging the system - we need people like Jello Biafra and bands like the Dead Kennedys now more than ever. I don`t agree with some of the things he says, i don`t like the way he ripped off his bandmates - but there`s no doubt he is a great performer. I hope he apologises one day to Ray, Klaus and DH , and that they play together again as the DKs.

Biafra is a muppet, his politics are embarrassing and represent no threat to capitalism or anything.

Fuck sake Michael Moore has more of clue than Biafra.

very good gig in sheffield t'other night. only annoying factor was everything in advance saying the gig would be 6.30-10, when it was actually 7.30-11. So we got there very early, saw some shit supports (like the last twenty years had never happened, politically or musically) and got very pissed on expensive beer.

Good set from Mr B - tho his voice clearly is kinda shot now, still had the legendary Jello warble, but not even half the power behind it.
