A t-shirt smells after one day cos you sweat into it, you don't sweat so much into jeans, so change then less often

Have you tried smelling the crotch?

erm i wear all mine for about a week.

they dont need to be washed that often but i can't believe people here saying they dont need to be washed at all, that's absolutely disgusting.

Living where i do where there is loads of mud they do need to be washed. and it is just a habit ive got into, i think i would feel funny wearing something that i'd worn non stop for about two weeks and not washed at all.

I remember reading somewhere that you lose about 1 pint of perspiration every day, although this can be much more if you do a lot of exercise. You lose this mostly through your armpits, groin and feet.

If you have been smoking, taking drugs, eating spicy food, or are ill, your sweat will take on a distinctive and often unpleasant odour.

It's just too minging to think about

To see how bad they smell.

People can't usually smell their own smell though
If they could they'd wash their jeans more often :p

How can you lot have a shower and get yourself all clean and then put on dirty jeans? It just feels horrible apart from anything else

If they smelt bad, I wouldn't need to smell the crotch - if I have to put my nose to the crotch to detect a smell, the smell ain't that bad

They don't feel dirty until they are dirty

I've just asked a colleague to smell my jeans and he says he can't smell owt - they've been on for about 5 days

The ones I am wearing still have mud on the bottoms from Glade which was in July :D

Ugh, you mucky lot!

Jeans get worn once, perhaps twice in exceptional circumstances, and then they get washed. :)

But, but, the environment.
Planet killer.

Yeah but they're not dirty though. Well maybe a little air polution on the outside as you say. But that can happen in a matter of hours. The insides, unless you have weaping sores or something, remain pretty clean, if you are.

but we all sweat, it's normal and healthy, but it does mean that if you wear jeans or trousers for more than a day that the sweat you've secreted will start to attract bacteria and to smell.

if you live in a field then it's not so important but if you have to mix with other people it's not very nice to make them have to smell your bodily secretions

when i was a teenage squatter we used to wear them til the dirt on them got shiny, (which could be anything up to a couple of months i guess)
seemed ok at the time but seems pretty fucking gross to me now
