You have to wonder at the thought processes these creatures go through. When the whole world seems to hate you and makes it very clear, (Vance has had protests on all of his many holidays since January. What the fuck does he actually do apart from annoy the heck out of people?), any thoughtful person might seem to realise that they are not liked and maybe they should change course.
