Her voice is more controlled on some of the Pearl Sessions tunes.

Someone mentioned above about her having a country/delta blues voice I'm not generally a fan of full throttle electric blues but even then her voice had the emotional range of the blues.Just to repeat I don't think there's been a better white female singer than her and Jo-Ann Kelly.

I've always loved Cohens love song to Pearl.I can imagine them both going up and down in the lift and their joy about conquering technology:

I went to the cinema a couple of weeks ago to see Little Girl Blue - a week later it was on iPlayer .
Watched it again though
