Jamie Oliver can fuck right off

I've come up with my own Jamie Oliver style recipe, try it at home see how it tastes!

Start with a good twist of sea salt, then add another twist. Next you wanna add a teaspoon of sea salt, mix that with another teaspoon of sea salt and add it to the rest. To finish, garnish with plenty of sea salt

haha its basically noise, but lots of people like it (i'm not keen on them myself). all their gigs i've been to have been fucking rammed

Oh, in that case i stand by my initial suspicion that theys rubbish
oh sorry i didn't realise that only music that fits your personal tastes can be classed as 'good' :)

i will delete the rubbish from my music library at once oh superior one

thing is about oliver, i actually like his tv shows, they're entertaining. and i suppose he's a good role model, getting people into cooking who otherwise wouldn't bother.

fair play to the dude.

BUT

his recipes are shit. he can't cook and just drowns everything in olive oil.

Yep.

I don't think I would even attempt to make anything of his anyway, it all looks so boring. I have not even seen anything on his restaurant menu that would get me excited.

Well yeah I would only class music that fits my personal taste as 'good' otherwise i wouldn't like it surely:confused:
Only speaking subjectively like

When he first came around, as "The Naked Chef", the main reason I liked him was that he was telling people that so long as they used fresh ingredients (the fresher the better), their food would be decent no matter what else they did. And that I appreciated. It's not entirely correct, of course, but at the time I knew plenty of people who would only bother with tinned or frozen stuff for their dinners.

As for his recipes, I've found that if you take his bizarrre obsession with olive oil out of it (seriously, I can predict exactly when in one of his shows he's going to add a "drizzle" - more like a downpour - of oil) then they're not bad. Not haute cuisine, but not bad.

I have no doubt of that having met a few and most of them fitting the same demographic. However, ask many and they will claim to be working class as this fits their beliefs and politics. The same way that johnny thinks working class people ate kebabs until some fat tongued twat showed otherwise.

I find that the class warrior urbans don't tend to come to urban events.

Well, I think certain types of music are excellent, for example classical music and jazz music, opera, etc. but I don't like them.

A lot of the music that I like, for example some of the reggae, dub, hardcore and punk that I listen to, I accept that it is musically poor, but it gives me a good feeling, I like the sound of it, so I like it.

My point is that that fact that you don't like something doesn't mean it's 'rubbish' or bad, just that you don't like it. And vice versa.

This isn't a metaphysical debate, we're talking about thrashcore. It is by definition RUBBISH

His new "Recipease" shop in Brighton is the most ridiculously overstaffed, overpriced and underpopulated place I've ever been in.
I go in and wander around at least once a week, it's good for the soul.
They rent out terrine moulds at five quid a pop ffs! A baguette costs 2 quid. And then they try to get you to make your own pizza and then sell it to you for the same price you could get it at La Cucina, the authentic and very good pizza place up the road. He's nicked the idea from Cosmo "Seinfeld" Kramer FFS!!!

The fat-tongued TWAT. :D

the guy just can't cook. bland food for people who know sod all about cooking.

just out of pure morbid curiosity i decided to make a curry following one of his recipes.

i now have a panful of pink sloppy tasteless greasy shit.

phoning the Bangla Villa and having a Peroni instead.

fuck you, oliver!

Yes, but Gino di Campo is worse. Every recipe of his I've tried a part of always comes out undercooked or raw. I'd rather bland or tasteless than raw.

I don't bother following recipes now.... I just use them for ideas.

I certainly don't have any issue with that comment. An astute point, well made.
She doesn't listen to thrashcore though
ever thought that that might be the reason why she's rubbish? i know a 40 year old mum who loves thrash, crust punk, jungle, breakcore and other fast, agressive types of music, and she is AWESOME.

also, she is totally hot but that's besides the point

it is really weird isnt it. olive oil is great in some circumstances but you dont need to pour half a bottle over EVERYTHING.

i reckon he just owns shares in fillipo berrio or something.

You're on very shaky ground there Herby. :hmm:
