Never done a duff song, whether it be The White Stripes, Raconteurs or solo stuff.

Knocks Hendrix into a cocked hat for guitaring in my humble opinion - just done better songs i'd say.

TBH i always thought Henrix was overated anyway, but still prefer Jack to any axeman you could mention

Can't compare him to Hendrix. I'd be v surprised if even a small amount of Jack White's output will be looked on in the same way in 40 years time compared to Hendrix now.

Actually, I have listened to 'Hello Operator' in the past and some of the guitar work on that has reminded me of Hendrix.

How do i know? Simple, i prefer jacks guitar playing and the stuff he's done to Hendrix. I do like Hendrix but prefer Jack's stuff. Just my preference innit . Got plenty of Hendrix cd's and seen the live stuff but doesn't do it for me the way Jack's music Does

Anyone, this thread was not about the comparison, i just said he is my fave guitarist and picked on the generally regarded best guitarist ever and said i preferred him. Still think they are working in roughly the same field tho, thats not an outrageous statement.

I also rate White above Page, Knopfler or Clapton, simply cos i love the way he makes the guitar sound, but that is my opinion.

I also love Malkmus and prefer him to Hendrix cos i love his riffs, so in my opinion he is better, and i don't care about technical excellence, cos when did that produce the best music? Just about how good the guitar on the songs sounds, and for me no one does it better than Jack White.
