I don't fully understand this - and I did query it last time I shopped around in case they had dropped a clanger.

Apparently, people who go for 'fully comp' tend to be more careful than those who don't, or some such.

I guess it's worth it if you've got a posh car. And with some comprehensive policies you get other benefits like being covered (third party) to drive any other vehicle.

my car is ancient, but I've kept the fully comp insurance - it's not that much £350, and I doubt it would be that much less as 3rd party
