I've been sacked.

Sorry to hear about your job not working out and that they dented your confidence - never a nice thing.

Have you thought about doing some voluntary work with kids just to boost your confidence about working with kids. If it is something you enjoy, it would be a shame to let it go because of a bad experience. Hope it all works out. Lots of temp christmas jobs still around at the moment!

I don't want to work with kids, at least not at the moment or in the near furture......

They are a lot of work and tbh, I aint that passionate about kids at all.

Red Jezza - I was upset when it happened and I'm a bit aargh that I'm back to square one now but I believe that they were twats and that they took a personal dislike to me and added that for reason to sack me, which of course is pathetic etc..

Otherwise, I'm glad to be out of there and looking forward to doing something new and different! :)

(check out the new positivity  and I'm on a comedown ;) )

Their loss is the worlds gain......I just feel sorry for the kids and the unsuspecting parents who send their kids to that place...you are well out of it.

Good luck lovey in finding another and better job. :)

Hi love, just saw this..... so sorry to hear this, it's just bad luck. I'm sure when something fantastic comes along (soon) you'll probably look back at this as a blessing in disguise. In the meantime, though - it does suck. Best of luck xxxx

Haha! Thats what I thought!

Sorry to hear about the loss SZC, glad to hear you aint too downhearted though :)

Whats gallery work? I think I'd like that...

if you're interested in art and galleries then one way to maybe get some experience may be through working for the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace. I've got a mate who works for them in Edinburgh and the money isn't too bad. Plus it seems like a piss easy job.

If you can put up with the whole working for the royals thing.

Thanks sparkit, I'll check out that link. :)

I have an interview tomorrow for a job at a pharmacy. It's walking distance from my house which is handy.

cheers for your kind wishes wandarer :)

Oooh sweeite.... i just saw this. sorry to hear. it does sound like u didn't really agree with the place/job so it's probably for the best.

BEST OF LUCK finding something better!

My boys went to a nursery that had an unexpected visit from social services inspectors - they nearly closed the place down for not keeping to the 1:8 ratio of staff per kids (it's 1:5 under 2 years of age, I think). The SS had been tipped off by 3 members of staff who'd left.

Luckily for the nursery, the parents were supportive and they kept their licence. TBF, it wasn't a bad place and nowhere like as bad as you describe your ex-workplace.

Sorry about losing your job - it's a bugger. I got sacked recently after 6 years (despite being made redundant in the past, this was a shock to the system).
