It's the Lambeth Country Show thread!

The music appears to be all reggae. I love reggae, but I'd prefer a bit of variety.
You should be able to hear a wide range of curious bands on the village green.

Oh, and I reckon we should make a half arsed attempt to meet. What about 3pm at the back of the cider tent?

i am aiming to come on sunday.....looking forward to it big time. i have fabulous memories to the fair. hope the sun will be out then :)

On the Saturday?

Oh yes :D ... me and my mates will be along before that probably.

Does anyone have any idea about who's playing on the main music stage?

I'm going hardcore and coming along both days

<prays for improvement in the w**th*r ... :( >

Heard on radio that Sean Rowley (Radio London) will be broadcasting his Guilty Pleasures show live from Brockwell Park next Sunday, people are being invited to bring suitable records.

First weekend I've had off in ages... I think I might journey through to London for this.... I'll have a visitor in tow too.... hmmm, may need to sort out somewhere to stay - looks like a fun weekend!

Levi Roots? Yay! :D

My mum wants to come and stay with me for the weekend and come along to this...not a great idea. Lambeth County Show is too much *fun* to have a mum in tow ;)

I'm going with my mum! I suggested she come up to London for the Sunday as I think she'll love it. It'll be babyw's first LCS as well (he went last year, but in utero :D), so it'll be a family affair. I'm looking forward to it!

We're going both days as usual, so maybe see some folks 3pm in the usual spot on the Saturday.

I'm in. Can't wait !

Hoping to bring a friend and her kids . . . so just a small one about the children's vegetable sculpture comp, is it better to bring some veg and cocktail sticks or (a) are limbs supplied, and (b) are they amply supplied ?

Don't want them to be disappointed, is all . . .

Otherwise :D

Yet again!!! Story of this "summer" ....

Weather for the w/e is lookig ominously dodgy.

But fuckit, if I can handle Glastonbury, I can handle a wet Brockwell Park. We might be alright .... bit of a gamble though if the forecasts are correct. Those can change, anyway.

With the weather we've been having recently, I wouldn't trust the forecast until friday night. But it does look rather shaky atm :(

As far as I know, you have to fill in forms to enter the competition some time before the event takes place, so there's no opportunity to make anything when you arrive (*this could be total bollocks).

Of course you are more than welcome to enter the Alternative Competition which is open to anyone:

mums like fun too. don't be mum-ist:)

I want to get to the cider tent before they sell out of sweet cider this year. Although I want to drink less than I did last year. Hmmmm.

I went both days yesterday & I don't see any reason not to again (unless the thing that Bluestreak says we can't talk about goes bad).
