It's the FA Cup

Not a great draw for Histon - Swansea at home. Could go through.

Forest Green Rovers have also got a home draw, against Derby County.

Eastwood Town drew Notts County or Kettering Town away. Again, not a great draw for them.

Hopefully some of these non-league clubs can progress to the fourth round.

Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal... zzzzzzz.
I can't see much interest in Chelsea v Southend or Arsenal v Plymouth.

There is slightly more appeal in Southampton v Manchester United, but not much.

I suppose the most interesting might be Birmingham v Wolves. Middlesbrough v Barrow could also be shown.

I was listening to it on the radio and I knew as soon as he said Hull at home, it would be us. We'll lose. Best case scenario is replay at SJP.

Jim Beglin spoke some bollocks about halfway through the second half today about the Argentine playing; "Argentina has a long history with the FA Cup, going back to Ardiles and Kempes." Eh? When did Mario Kempes ever play in England? How the hell could you get him confused with Ricky Villa, when you recall Villa's goal.

I also hated the way that ITV only seemed to care about "The Big Four" when discussing the draw.

It was more how, of the teams entering in the Third Round, they gave more promenance to "The Big Four".
That's surprising.

From the footage shown today, it didn't look as if the Histon players had thought "Yay, we're in the third round draw of the cup where we can now face teams like Swansea."

so pleased for Forest Green Rovers, they don't get enough credit for the way they've hung on to Conference football being such a small club with no big history before they got there

Hmm. Orient (lot of west ham fans have them as their second team) vs sheff utd, the same time as west ham play barnsley (arch local rivals of sheff utd).

Scope for untold carnage. One fixture almost certain to be moved...

It has potential banana skin written all over it.

Banana skin?! Don't flatter yourselves. You're a shit Div 1 side, we're a slightly more shit but infinitely more ambitious/hungry League 1 side :D

Shit draw for both of us really. Could have at least been at Selhurst so I could pop along without going all the way up to the Walkers.

We should probably be more confident of a result, but we're unsteady at the Walkers and have been generally a bit iffy of late. I expect we'll proceed.
