What the actual fuck? Water falling out of the sky.
Where are you?
Not seen rain for about 7 weeks in Worthing, there's a 25% chance of a little later this evening.
ETA: Why isn't this in the general forum?
Had a phone call from the wife to tell me to bring the washing in.
That was about ten minutes ago. It's now stopped raining. I feel like a fraud...
Sasaferrato reported rain in Scotland earlier, not sure if that lasted more than 10 minutes.
No fraud. A bit of lightning in some of it too.
Rain radar at 4.30:
Worcester folk are doomed....
ETA: I just heard thunder!!
I refuse to accept it . The delightful carol kirkwood never mentioned this. All lies
we had rain yesterday morning - a couple of miles north of Worcester - ok, so it was more mist than drizzle, but it was water falling from the sky.
it had no effect - my garden looks like Sudan...
Big heavy drops and lots of 'em in the west cuntery.
Joking aside; it's now proper stair-rodding down. This is the last thing dust-dry ground needs
It rained quite heavy here for a bit last night... I found myself standing by my back door watching it like you do when it snows heavily
The rain's torrential. And thunder.
The wife went out an hour or more ago. It's only a 15 minute trip to the garden centre.
Coming to terms with the fact I might now be a widower...
i found porn, and glamourous brunettes to be a crutch at the time of the tragic loss of my wife in the divorce courts - i hope they can give you strength Brother...
If it rains here tonight, I am going out in my pants to dance in it.
* this assuming it doesn't happen if I am down the pub at the time.
Cos it's Trump's fault.
It's all just terrible. Not sure how to process this.
More and more rain. The very dry ground and footpaths will get washed away.
And the wife came back. I haven't started cooking dinner yet either. And she pointed out the fact I failed to close the garage door. #dogHouse
Forecast in Hertfordshire was thunderstorms blue skies and burnt grass here still.
If you can't spell Herefordshire properly...
You should make it up to her, perhaps take her for a lovely cooling walk along the river - but be careful, the paths can be slippery in the wet, and the Severn can be dangerous. Fatal, intact, if something awful were to happen...
I wouldn't hurt a hair on her head.
If she had any...
There must have been some really big bangs in Wiltshire - a lot of them were louder here in Bristol than ones barely outside the Bristol postcode area.
Lovely and cool here now
Nothing here...And they're talking about turning water off at night.
It would have to rain non stop for 2 weeks for this drought to improve.
Can ye send a bucketload of rain over here please?
About an hour of light rain. Just taken Mrs Sas up the road to sit with our daughter's cat for a while, and the place is alive with snails. They must be replenishing their water levels.
Rain? pfft...didn't even move the dust.
And also yes...snails all over the place for months.
It pissed down last night and this morning, and it were grand.
eta Sasaferrato - please convert that to modern money as it is confusing.
eeta - rumble of thunder.
It was enough for the grass to take on a greener hue.
Looking at the forecast, it's going to be next Friday before any substantial rain.
