It's quarter finals weekend

Yeah, but you only watch them. You clearly didn't care about them. Because if you did, you'd be there every chance you can take and only really pay attention to a team that's got as much in common with you as chalk and cheese.

No i properly cared for them when I was younger, then I just grew out of going to football cos none of my mates went, we got sky and everyone my age was far more interested in the PL, and I didn't wanna go stand with a bunch of fuckers who'd have happily kicked my fuck in later on that night for 'being a fenian faggot'. There was also the small matter of my da not going anymore having fallen out with the board after they tried to hijack/split the youth teams he managed. Subsequently the big time charlie prick who was behind this was latter sent down for embezzlement and fraud and left Larne FC in buckets of debt, this hasn't stopped the fucker getting back involved with the running of the club since he's got out the nick.

So in short Larne FC are a joke club, ran by jokers and followed by some ole boys and that's about it. They've had three managers in three months.

The Newcastle of Irish League Football.

So with Spurs winning the League Cup, and four comedy teams in the FA Cup semis, does that mean there's only one UEFA spot to win in the Prem and nothing for sixth place?

No need, I'm smiling :)

It was fun winning through as many rounds as the big boys need to reach the final itself. Never thought I'd see the day we were one of the last five teams left in the Cup :D
i was so sure that you lot were gonna finish off the weekend of shocks. ah well, concentrate on the league and tings. be lucky matey :)

It's funny, I was convinced we'd win against Fulham, Barnet and Saints but for WBA I had no strong feelings either way. In fact, it wasn't really until 5pm this afternoon that it clicked and I suddenly had the realisation that OH MY GOD, WE'RE ABOUT TO PLAY IN A QUARTER FINAL!

Then I got really nervous at last. Until then, the whole thing had been too darn surreal.

It could have gone another way, as these things always do. If Stevie hadn't fumbled for the first goal, if Williams had put that chance away as it flashed in front of him or the ref had given us a penalty a moment later when he was brought down... etc etc

Just that in this case, this time, the likeliest outcome did in fact prevail.

And, on a similar note, would Cardiff be allowed to take a UEFA place as English FA Cup finalists or winners, what with them having snuck over Offa's Dyke into the Sais league?

Aye, its cos the winners of the welsh cup go into the uefa cup, maybe cardiff should've thought of that before entering the fa cup. Though im sure the fa cup is worth a lot more, so no big loss overall i guess.

Just wanted to say that the first half of the BR-WBA game was lovely and that despite their defeat they're my heroes of the cup this year. Congrats guys.

I no longer care who wins, no matter who does football has won.

That'll serve the Welsh right for not accepting the fact England owns their ass. :D

Ass? What sort of affected comedy munchkin are you? If the try hard swearing and general wannabee gimpyness wasn't enough, now we get the sour grapes and Americanisms. I know you've got Glazer in charge, but this is prostituting yourself too far.

Ass indeed. Arse.

Unbelievable resuls yesterday mind. Good to see Utd and fans as classy as ever in defeat.

Well it's true, on the one hand youse wanna keep your independence and on the other youse want access to the English league and it's European slot.

Cake and eat it comes to mind.
Sorry, this is a thread for teams still in the FA Cup.

So clear off, glory-hunting, armchair boy.

Surely this should be "the English FA Cup and its European slot"? Besides, this, and the triple crown, serves you right for invading us.
