well for a start the could not remove the judge which was going to give you a fair hearing and replace them with one who was going to do the powers what sucks bidding... they could for instance provide protection to your legal team so that they weren't summonarly exicuted for doing the job of providing you with consel. They could acutally stick to provable facts using evidence and not start from a presumption of guilt. perhaps they might even not accept that the complict nature of allowing a show trial where based on the illigtiamate removal of their former leader was done in what amounted to a us/uk military coup...

but yes they are all culpable and one day, they will be brought to justice. It has to happen in order that we ourselve heal our own wounds over these illegal wars of aggression against sovergin states and that we can ever hope to reach a comprimise and understanding with the muslim world.

I agree. It isn't although I'll weep for the vicious tyrant, and if he'd been killed in fighting I wouldn't have given it a second thought. But it was a bad move to execute him.

Judicial killing is wrong, illogical, misguided and undemocratic whoever does it. Whether that's Saddam executing his opponents, or occupied Iraq with "the International Community" pulling the strings executing their opponents (ie Saddam).

Tactically it was stupid. What message are we sending out "this was a bad man because he killed people in cold blood, so we're going to...erm... kill him in cold blood". Convincing. Not.
