Its Keegan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually hope Keegan succeeds, because he's a decent, honest bloke. But I fear that those attributes aren't what are required to make a good Premiership manager these days .... aside from Martin O'Neill and possibly Alan Curbishley, I wouldn't care to sit down for a pint with any of them.

I can't think of any other club in Britain that would want Keegan over Allerdyce. What is going on up there?

getting redknapp back to pompey worke dout...
he had not been sat on his arse 4 the last 3/4 years, u think keegan goin 2 attract the same sort of players as last time, fucken no chance

You guys judge too quickly, how do you know FOR SURE which way this will go? Now yes its risky but really, we have nothing to lose with the way we were going under Sam. I personally love it that he's back, love it!

very funny, :p, been supporting them since keegan was manager first time round cause really i couldnt make myself support any london team at the time, and they seemed worth supporting.

Oh, so you're a glory hunter or convenience then. Deep commitment then.

I suspcet that I may have been to St James Park more often than you (twice)

They're 11th just now, I wonder how much better they think it'll get with Keegan? Can't see it improving much this season anyway. I like Kev though. Good luck to him.

lol how am i a glory hunter when ive supported them through loads of shit? Btw check my edit.

Oh and btw, thank you for trying to atatck me for beign a'glory hunter' at such a time, fuck you, moron.

exactly, dillinger.:p Cant someone just support a club for the football they play(or once played)? Though i did support a non league london club, hendon once and used to watch them but i live too far away now.

Yep, staying in the Premier League with average positions, high spending on players and fervent support's a real hardship isn't it?

Jeez, the glory hunters get more ridiculous.

Lmao, piss the fuck off, seriously, have you been through two fa cup final defeats in a row to both arsenal/man utd? Watching your team udner perform so badly for many years? Piss the fuck off you fucking arsehole. I would hardly call supportinga team that got battered 6-0 recently GLORY HUNTING!!

From the BBC site:

"Keegan was running his "Soccer Circus" in Glasgow after quitting his job at City in March 2005."

So just a change of city really.

Or we could assume that he wont fail. But you know i dont expect a non newcastle fan to be on our side here...
nothing 2 do with who u support or wheather u like or dislike newcastle its just one of the most desperate, hilarious appointments ever

Don't be such a numpty. Two cup final defeats is hardly indicative of a terrible team is it? It shows how limited your glory hunting horizons are - oh, why didn't I pick the best team - it's such a hardship. <sniff>

Worra glory hunting wanker. They'd tear you to pieces in Newcastle with that logic.

Do you wear no jacket in winter and try to speak like Biffa bacon to try and up your Geordie quotient.

:D

nufc bristol city, 1st toon game, first game with keegan in charge.

personally I actually think this is the right move, providing the kev hasn't lsot his spark and enthusiasm completely.

we're talking about the guy who led newcastle out of the 2nd dvision and to 2nd in the premiership inside 4 years, and did it with one of the most exciting teams to watch that the premiership has seen.

having been in newcastle at that time, I can tell you that the buzz in the toon around that time was better than at any point since (and probably for a long time before). I just hope he can rekindle it this time around - he's a hell ofa lot more experienced this time around as well.

He had £60m to spend on fowards (which was stupid money in those days) and didn't win the league, he then went to England and was absolutely abysmal, Euro 2000 was the worst England performance I remember pre-McClaren and then went to Citeh, spent loads and fucked that right up too. This is like putting a paedo in charge of the nursery.
