Italy vs Ghana thread

Great game. Best I've seen Italy play for a while. They looked confident too. Still think the Argentina v Ivory Coast game was best game so far.

Restricting the opposition to speculative long-range efforts is fine against the likes of Essien, who is a splendid player but cannot hit a barn door, Italy will have to be wary of this against the Czechs who can hit very small barn doors. A minor criticism though, they played well enough.

True and with regards to Italy they looked purposefull and effcient and i'm certainly not ruling them out to do well in this tournament. As for Ghana, it was similar to the Ivory Coast was that they lost to a team that was tactically savvy, but clinical with the finishing, whilst watching the second half last night you just knew that Italy were going to get that second goal and they did.

As deserved win for the Azzuri. Looking foward to their final group match against the Czechs

Was going to mention him too, but forgot his name ... :o

He was good, I couldn't tell what position he was supposed to be playing for a while because he kept popping up in the oddest of places wanting the ball. He impressed me a lot.

He was at Parma wasn't he?

Then Brescia, then Juve.
