COME ON ITALY!

Indeed.

Terry Henry has really fucked me off with his behaviour recently and so I'm edging towards the Italians. Plus a lad I work with, of Italian decent, has bought a fucking brilliant looking full size & weight replica World Cup trophy from ebay, so I hope he gets a goood chance to wave that around later tonight.

Well I don't really care who will win, but I hope this will be a good game.

I think one goal either way will seperate them at the end.

The flags on the stadium they keep showing. Italian German Japanese and French.

The axis plus Vichy France. What are the Berliners telling the world.

Well, perfect start for the neutral perspective isn't it?

Is it just me or does this pitch look small? - I'm sure I read that all the pitches at the WC are uniform size:confused:

Materatzi had a wobbly old start...

translation doen't make any sense:) do you mean allez la france?

He was trying to say 'come on France'. The problems with word for word translations.

Blatant dive, like in the semi-final. Zidane lucky to get away with that.
Whilst both players were theatrical in their falling over, I believe they were both fouled and the referees made the correct decisions.

If thats how fouls are now defined then the art of defending has been abolished. Safer for defenders to just stand aside when faced with an opposing player in the penalty area, which is exactly what the Italian players did.

I imagine that being tripped up (as in Henry's case) has always been a foul.

Tonight's one may have been deemed an acceptable challenge in the past.

I wouldn't say that either incidents involved textbook defending.
