Would love to see more Serie A though.

They could drop Songs Of Praise or the Eastenders omnibus. Surely the Great God Of Calcio is more important than some cults (that's with an 'l') singing or the Queen Vic?

I'd prefer it that way, but I doubt you could persuade the BBC bosses.

I guess even showing it not live but in real-time would be just as good, providing you could avoid finding out the results. Or stick it on BBC Parliament, which can't have anything live on a Sunday afternoon?

ETA: Actually, thinking about it, could they not put it on the interactive stream? They do that with quite a lot of sports, especially during the Olympics.

've heard sone nurnurs here and there that the BBC are trying or at least thinking about setting up a BBC Sports channel (weither on Tele or using the same sofware they use for the Iplayer service) as a way of stopping people phoning up on the odd occations they have sport on and complaining because they're missing Eastenders.


I guess the problem lies in the fact that BBC actually has very little sport and as a result would have fuck all to broadcast save the Embassy World Championship and Bowls...
